Maximum Disruption! Warman sues the Conservative Blogosphere!

Richard Warman has decided to legally attack the conservative blogosphere.

In a Statement of Claim that is being delivered as we speak, Warman has named: The National Post Company, Jonathan Kay, Ezra Levant, Kathy Shaidle, FiveFeetOfFury.com, SmallDeadAnimals.com, Catherine McMillan, Mark Fournier, FreeDominion.ca and Constance Wilkins-Fournier [sic].

You can read the Statement of Claim by clicking here.

I cannot overstate the importance of winning this battle. This is an attempt by one person to shut down discussion on all of the largest Canadian conservative blog sites.

How long before the grown-ups put a stop to this Maximum Disruption campaign?

The Anne Cools post is back in the news.

The initial discussion of the infamous 'Anne Cools post' at Free Dominion has been almost buried under the avalanche of information that has since been revealed concerning the activities of Richard Warman and the CHRC, but thanks to Richard Warman the post is back in the news.

Although the Cools post is no longer as central to what has been going on in the CHRC as it was earlier, the controversy around it is still very revealing and instructive. In the time since the story began to be discussed at Free Dominion none of the facts have changed, and more have been learned.

It looks like it's time to revisit the Anne Cools post. Very Happy

For those of you who aren't familiar with the defendents, here are some links:

Ezra Levant (Who has an excellent synopsis on his blog right now)

Small Dead Animals(Catherine McMillan's blog)

Five Feet of Fury (Kathy Shaidle's blog)

And Jonathan Kay writes on the National Post blog.

If this is true the ulterior agenda is starkley clear.

The first thing that came to mind was "be careful what you wish for" and I was not speaking to the blogosphere.

Canada is sinking very quickly into a fascist state. Scary, isn't it?

Well, probably not. Most people are too busy complaining about the Leafs.

Read the Statement of Claim carefully.

Clueless

a "reputation" he has GONE OUT OF HIS WAY to create....???

I was child on the schoolyards during the '50s. At that time, the worst thing that anyone could say about you
was that "You could dish it out but you couldn't take it".
This marked a cowardice that was so inbred in a kid as to be irredeemable.

It seems that Maximum Disruption can only go one way. The fact that his own life is being held against him is just too galling for him to deal with.

I still want Senator Cools to demand that the DoD do something about its recalcitrant employee.

I tried to, but it is tiresome and repetitive in the extreme. I printed it out to take home, as my computer being out of order I have a lot of free time after work.....

I found the Paragraph 15 intriguing -- "It is a matter of public record that Mr. Warman has denied under oath...having made the Cools Posting or having had anything to do with it."

Isn't this the "I did NOT have sexual relations with That Woman" defence? I mean, didn't Mr. Clinton deny under oath having lied to a Grand Jury among many other things that later proved only that, among other things, he was a perjurer? And didn't that in fact get him impeached?

That is, the fact that one has denied under oath that he did not do something does not mean that he did not do it. It may just mean that he is confident you won't find the smoking gun that proves he did.
