Odds that Warman wrote THAT post
Below is an excerpt from Lance from Catprint in the Mash on the odds that Richard Warman posted the Anne Cools slur. Keep in mind that Lance is not political, he is a techie.
You should read the whole thing.
| Quote: | Odds
W3Schools states in September of 2003, 12.1% of visitors to their websites used Windows 98. (Windows 2000 was released in Feb, 2000, Windows XP was released in 2001). While there are numerous plug-ins and methods to modify the OS stamp now, there wasn't in 2003 other than programming a web interface. We can safely assume that the OS stamp isn't forged. Additionally, FreeDominion offers the browser version, "Mozilla 4.0 compatible MSIE 6.0". What exactly does that mean? It means that the browser was Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0, but that it is compatible to Mozilla 4.0.. Once again W3Schools observed statistics regarding browsers. 69.7% of browsers in September of 2003 were listed as Internet Explorer 6. Let's narrow down those numbers, eh? We know only 4047 possible computers could have been responsible for the post in question. Now we know that only 12.1% of operating systems being used matched the system logged. 12.1% of 4047 is 490. Now, of that we assume only 69.7% are using MSIE 6.0. That gives us, 341 possible computers. Out of 32 million people in Canada we know that 1 out of a possible 341 wrote that message.

Now, add to that the fact that Warman tried very hard to quash the request for a subpoena for information on the identity of the Roger's user who made that post...information that might have proven his innocence if he was not the poster.
And, he decided to remove that post (which was surely a section 13 violation) from the list of material he wanted the tribunal to judge.

His stats are still short.
One needs to take into consideration the IP address, to which it has been demonstrated that would be withing a short radius of Warman's home.
Narrows the field down considerably. Another explanation could be that racist thugs broke into Warman's house and did the posting, then set up Warman for the fall. |

[Sarcasm ON]
Those b*st*rds! The lengths these evil white racists will go to frame an innocent man! I'm shocked. Shocked I tell you. See. Look at my face. Shocked.
Okay. I'm done now. Like Connie said, the techie evidence plus the fact that Warman didn't want to provide the information that could have vindicated him should be a slam dunk.
Most innocent people are thrilled when they find they have actual evidence that can vindicate them and are given an opportunity to provide it. What kind of backwards place does Warman inhabit where this wouldn't also be the case? Oh, I remember now - that would be one where some special people are allowed to behave like criminals and trample all over other people's rights in pursuit of some questionable greater good and don't expect to be called on the carpet by anyone for that behaviour. Clear as mud. |

So if he doesn't have to supply that kind of evidence, why do the people he is accusing have to supply it. If he claims it was someone else posting as Lucy Goosey, couldn't it be someone else posting other than the ones he is accusing? _________________ Pardon me Dick, but opinions posted on Free Dominion are those of the individual posters and are not necessarily the opinion of Free Dominion or its operators.

That is an excellent point, Tex. Someone said that others have been found guilty by the tribunal, forced to pay fines, and given a lifetime speech ban on less evidence than this.
I'm going to try to dig up some examples. _________________ There is nothing worse than a wormy, half-decomposed cheesebread. |

Use his own tactics against him. Study what he has done and he can hardly get away with saying YOU shouldn't be allowed to do that when HE was allowed. _________________ Pardon me Dick, but opinions posted on Free Dominion are those of the individual posters and are not necessarily the opinion of Free Dominion or its operators.

Alexan Kulbashian did file a CHRC complaint against him, but it was thrown out.

We also understand that the IP address was used within that specific 3 mile radius So;
1) how many of the 341 in Canada would be within that specific 3 miles?
2) of those within the 3 mile radius, how many would even know of the site in question ?
3) of those with the 3 mile radius that would even know of the site, how many would register to post at the site?
4) of those left who would have registered, how many would have the politically where-with-all to know about the Senator ?
5) of those registered who knew of the Senator, how many would have issue with the Senator ?
6) of those left from 1-5, who many would post hate speech on an American site - for what reason ?

It's entirely possible that the Anne Cools post was composed by someone else with access to the same computer.
In that event, one wonders what circumstances would have been at 'play'... _________________ “There were not six million Jews murdered; there was one murder, six million times.” — Holocaust survivor Abel Herzberg
