The camera angle is tiltled upwards with Mahmoud standing closer to the camera... You can do the same thing and make a nearby building appear taller than the CN tower.

The White House website says George W. Bush is 5'11. He's about 4 inches taller than Putin while Putin and Ahmedinajed are the same height (unless the Iranian president is standing on a stool to shake his hand!).

I can't imagine why you're so disturbed the nutcase from Iran is a little man of 5 feet. The picture of him standing on a stool so as not to have to look up at anyone of normal height says volumes to me. It says he is insecure and embarrassed at his lack of height.
Need more evidence? Here's a direct quote from CBS newsman, Mike Wallace:
Mike Wallace, 88, has retired but just scored an interview with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Here's some of what he noticed about this villianized leader.
