|
|
The
Canary
in a Coal Mine.
No children? No work force. Unsustainable social programs. Economic collapse.
It’s time for Western goverments to consider a sterility tax for all of the free-loaders who expect “the government” to pay for their entitlements without the necessary workforce to support those entitlements.
I say…
500% tax on contraceptives.
Major tax incentives for families who have many children. The more children you have, the less tax you pay. A future workforce, after all, is essential to the growth and continued existence of the State.
Sterilization and masturbation, we are finding out, have their own social and economic costs. And they are not unsubstantial. _________________ Socon Or Bust: http://www.socon.ca/or_bust/

Putting a tax on contraceptives is no more an invasion of privacy than putting a tax on alcohol or cigarettes or junk food. Ditto for tax incentives for large families.
I'm sure lots of arguments can be made on both sides of this issue, but I don't see privacy as one of them. _________________ "...single men must have access to donor eggs and “gestational carriers.” - David Johnston, Governor General Appointee

But people smoke and drink in public, as well as private. Conception, and the act that causes it, is usually a private affair. |

Your privacy ends when I have to pay for your Depends.
We have to disabuse ourselves of the notion that social programs are "free" and that they don't depend on a future workforce.
The State has an obligation to conform its public policy to this reality.
Undergirding this, of course, is the lie has "no place" in the Bedrooms of the nation.
Quite obviously, if the State has no place in the bedrooms of the nation, I don't why it has a place anywhere else either.... _________________ Socon Or Bust: http://www.socon.ca/or_bust/

So is economic collapse because of a negative growth in the work force a "private affair" too?
Sex and children are not private affairs. They never were. That's what Trudeau fed you, but we're all going to learn very soon (and Greece is the first to go...) that that is not really accurate, is it? _________________ Socon Or Bust: http://www.socon.ca/or_bust/

If my privacy ends if I accept funds from the government then absolutely every Canadian should have no privacy rights. At leasts thats what you're suggesting. _________________ FREE DOMINION FORUM RULES

This would have horrible "unintended" consequences.
Much like now, the type of people who would have children are the types of people you probably don't want having children.
More social disorder as bastard children run rampant even larger than they do now.
We are only running a 30% deficit in population stability. Immigration at a rate of about 200,000 a year should offer a reasonable amount of stability. |

No, I am not suggesting that. What I am trying to do is to get people to recognize that sex is not STRICTLY a private affair. That the rearing of children and the NECESSITY of children for a society is not merely a "choice" but a civilizational requirement.
The State has a role in encourging the natural family through public policy, largely by recognizing the indispensible role that Mom, Dad, and their children play in society. Immigration is not a long term solution and therefore without children, we're going to collapse.
It's not rocket science. No children? No future.
This means a completely different orientation of government towards the family. For one thing, it can start getting out of the "safe sex" mantra and promotion of sterilization. It can start to teach that motherhood is the greatest vocation there is (which it is), thereby putting it in its rightful place. And it can start to tailor its tax and fiscal policy towards giving families REAL choices in allowing parent to raise their children at home...the place where REAL civilization (honour, integrity, generosity, deference, sacrifice, etc. ) is learned.
In other words, let families be families and stop the indoctrination of the culture of sterilization and abortion.
Children are a blessing to a nation, not its curse.
The curse - the view that children are merely commodities to be "planned", aborted, and disposed of - is going to lead to the full weight of economic collapse in the Western world.
Greece is one of the worst countries in Europe as far as population growth. It's not surprising therefore that it is the first one to encounter a major crisis...but I tell you most solemnly...that the others will follow. _________________ Socon Or Bust: http://www.socon.ca/or_bust/

Taxing products has nothing to do with privacy. If taxes can be proposed for junk food or luxury items, proposing taxes on contraceptives is fair game. Nobody is talking about monitoring anyone's sex life.
Considering my feeling about taxes, in general, I'm not sure how I feel about this proposal. It is a consumption tax, so that is better than an income tax. It has that much going for it. _________________ "...single men must have access to donor eggs and “gestational carriers.” - David Johnston, Governor General Appointee

All you're doing is replacing a doctrine that you don't like with one that you prefer, thanks, but no thanks. I perfer my government to be as doctrine free as possible, if you don't mind.
Children are a blessing, to use the word, to their parents, and have little if anything to do with the nation at all. |

How would we go about monitoring it (a sex tax). Don't they call that voyeurism. _________________ FREE DOMINION FORUM RULES

He was just talking about a consumption tax on contraceptives, much like there are extra taxes on alcohol and cigarettes. At least, that is how I read it.
Obviously, I wouldn't support government spying of any sort. That would be wrong on a lot of levels. _________________ "...single men must have access to donor eggs and “gestational carriers.” - David Johnston, Governor General Appointee
