I think he's shorting the market and just preaches doom and gloom hoping people will pull out and he can make an extra $ .25. His posts are identical to all other shorts that I've come across. I don't think anyone could truly be that negative. But I could be wrong.

I think Yoda is just reporting on what anyone can see happening if they took the time to really analyze the situation rather then bury their heads in the sand.

Got lucky? Hardly. We put a lot of time and effort into picking the right stocks. We are up about 15% overall in the last 12 months. About twice what our expectations were. I think we lost money on one stock and we own hundreds. Also 15 months ago we moved to a conservative stance in our positions due to being retired and still have done very very well. It doesn't happen by taking tips from every Yoda on the internet either, it comes with due diligence and experience.

I have interest in telling my side which differs greatly from the story Yoda and Virgie are telling. Just because it differs from them am I going to be banned from this thread too?

Call it what you might, I call it lots of new money in my account. If you chose to sit out, that's your choice. We've been in for about 30% of our total money since retirement and it's doing way better than the other investments.
