Yesterday Mark and I drove all the way to Ottawa to take some paperwork to the CHRC. They have been stonewalling us since April on our Access to Information request for the files on Free Dominion and I had a document that I wanted to give them in person that would clear the way for them to fulfill our request.
We got to the building on 344 Slater St. and took the elevator to the 8th floor.
When we walked in, we did not encounter a receptionist like we expected. There was a security guard behind glass, instead. When I wanted to hand him the letter with my case number on it, I had to slip it through a little slot in the glass.
He directed us to sit in two chairs across from his station and he disappeared into the back. He came back out in a couple of minutes and told us that he had given the letter to someone who would pass it along until they found someone who could "give us an answer". I thought that was rather strange since I had already said that I just wanted to talk to Heather Throop and give her a document.
As we were waiting, we heard a huge commotion in the outside hall, which had been utterly deserted. A guy came barrelling down the hall with a cart loaded with files, grabbed an elevator, and disappeared. I turned to Mark and whispered, "There go our files".
A few moments later, a young, timid-looking girl came out and handed something to the security guard, whispered something to him, and then retreated quickly from our sight. I honestly thought the poor girl suspected we were wired with bombs!
The security guard then told us that Heather Throop wasn't in, but asked if we would like to talk to Deborah Cansick. I said that that would be fine because I have talked to her by email several times.
Mark and I stood waiting as the security guard walked out the back door of his booth and we prepared to go in to see Deborah Cansick.
To my utter astonishment, he, instead, picked up a phone in the waiting room, dialed a number, and handed it to me. I wasn't even allowed to see Deborah Cansick...I had to speak to her on a phone while she hid in another room!!
Well, to make a long story short, Cansick told me there was no point in giving her the paperwork I brought because they weren't planning on fulfilling my request.
I hung up the phone, took my letter back through the little hole in the window, and Mark and I left the office for the elevator. As we were waiting, an older woman and a guy with a bunch of earphones attached to him came and waited with us and got on the elevator as we rode down. I said to Mark later that it seemed like they appeared out of nowhere to make sure we actually left the building!
Both Mark and I were spooked by our experience at the CHRC. It was unlike any other government office we have ever seen. Talk about "faceless bureaucracy"! It is absolutely frightening that these people, who spend their days hidden behind a security guard and bulletproof glass, have the power to utterly destroy the lives of Canadians, and they don't even have to look their victims in the eyes.

| You would think that the media - so obsessed by sex and violence - would actually take the time to investigate something as bizarre as the HRC. This account should be sent to all the major newspapers - let them start investigating this Brave New World of corrupted morons parading around in HRC skirts and slacks hiding from sunlight. I wonder if these Trolls have to live in darkness by design. |

It occurred to me that maybe these people use fake names, too.
I mean, how likely is it that you could really get a collection of trolls working for that organization with such appropriate names as Richard WAR-MAN, Jennifer LYNCH and Ian FINE? _________________ There is nothing worse than a wormy, half-decomposed cheesebread. |

Connie, that is an objectionable way to interact with people. That would upset me mightily. _________________ Let us celebrate the millions of Muslims that we are proud to call American citizens- President George Bush before joining an Imam in prayer. |

All of that should be investigated by a parliamentary committee as part of its mandate to review the procedures and agenda of the CHRC.
With the resolution passed at the Winnipeg convention, the government should now be pressured to heed the wishes of the party's rank and file members, and set up this committee without delay.
Professor Moon's report will be available next week from what I understand, so that removes any legal roadblock to further action, whatever he happens to say can then proceed into the mix for the parliamentary committee.
With the evidence available so far, I believe that this committee should lead to a judicial review but also should guide parliament to make changes in the laws that enable these procedures.
Sadly, the only real change would be after some kind of widespread social counter-revolution in Canada rooting out all forms and traces of political correctness and the Stalinist mentality that forms its foundation.
One thing this episode can be used to support is our defence in the Warman lawsuit, specifically where he complains about my John Doe posting that he represents a Stalinist mentality (I am still not sure if he's mad that I outed him, or that I chose the wrong communist dictator of his choice, perhaps Maoist would have suited his tastes better?) ... I would love to confront him in court and cross-examine him, asking, "you've heard this testimony about the visit of citizens to your home base, and can you please point out where this would not lead a Canadian political observer to conclude that all involved in this are Stalinists in their world view?"
I guess he might say there was a red maple leaf poster on a wall and that excused everything.
By the way, government paranoia ... nothing new. When Environment Canada officials became concerned that my alternate weather forecasting research might in any way make them look bad for blacklisting me, they sent PSAC agents around to the local airport weather office, grilling the staff to find out what I said on a visit, what I looked at, and then they told the people that I was a dangerous person, possibly insane, and a piece of human garbage because I had taken part in a one-day forecast provision to a Toronto radio station in December, 1978 during an Environment Canada one-day work stoppage.
At one of the two regional weather stations they visited, a sympathetic employee told me of these activities. At another one, the brainwashed staff treated me, as instructed, as human garbage, making comments to that effect while I was looking at some maps in their office (this was of course long before the internet).
I was also told by an EC employee who later had a nervous breakdown and left Canada, that a senior EC official who is often seen on television commenting on weather events had told a group of people after a research conference we both attended that I would only receive any assistance from the government "over my dead body" and I just saw him on TV today so that explains the lack of assistance, I guess -- the one forecast they actually got right !!!
That's your country, I told you about this when I first joined FD and asked who had similar stories, but I suspect most conservatives have never had much interaction with the Liberal-dominated civil service until this new era of thought control, so similar reports were slow to appear.
After a period of five years with various similar experiences generally designed to blacklist my work and smear my personal reputation, we related all of these reports to our MP at that time, Bill Domm (PC - Peterborough) and he did take up the matter with as many officials as he could, but just ran into a stone wall of silence, denial, evasion and various other stalling tactics, until eventually he died and the people of Peterborough decided to elect a Liberal climatologist, Peter Adams of Trent University, to the seat (in 1993, I believe it was).
Of course there would be no point in approaching a Liberal member or a PSAC supporter about these things, so none of this has ever come into the sphere of public knowledge as it should have done. With the global warming theory just gaining ground in the early days of this history of interaction, of course it places a much different spin on the whole question, which started off being just a personality clash between a researcher who had found out new information and had data to support that, and an entrenched bureaucracy who didn't want any outside influences and had their own career paths as the only primary concern.
"Civil servant" has always been a very ironic term for me since then. There were a few good people in the system, but they were subject to even worse treatment (because they had to work with these clowns every day) if they showed even the slightest courtesy or sympathy.
The corruption and the bad attitudes are so ingrained in a whole class, almost a whole region of the country, that it has undermined the national morality and led to the sort of cynical opportunism that we see in the old Chretien version of the Liberal Party, just take what you can, justify nothing, use the people as sheep to vote obediently for handouts and influence peddling, and denounce the minority who oppose it all as "reactionaries." |

It was utterly bizarre visiting the CHRC offices. It seems as if they believe they are a super secret spy agency that has to hide the faces of even their lowest employees from the eyes of those committing thought crimes.
These people are truly revolting. I am completely angered that they are so cowardly that they wouldn't climb out from under their rocks.
Like Connie said, they are too chicken to look their victims in the eye. _________________ "If it takes force to impose your ideas on your fellow man, there is something wrong with your ideas. Connie after hearing of your visit to the CHRC the word 'delusional' pops into my mind. If the media would really investigate these people Canadians would be afraid.
I remember reading a book about 20 - 25 years ago called 'This Present Darkness' , your visit has the same feel as the premise of that book. |

The conventional social-liberal view of conservatives is that we are all violent people who might endanger their physical safety. Of course, by taking away our freedom of speech and in some cases our chance to make a living or retain possessions after being arbitrarily sued, they create a self-fulfilling prophecy. People get angry and in some cases issue threats. So the game continues, provoke, and pull back. It's the same thing dippers do on a picket line, get in the way, pretend to be run over, get the cameras to show how the violent scabs have abused the noble (socialist) working man or better, woman.
They probably brainwashed the lower level functionaries at the office to believe all of their lies and distortions, and in so doing, they create an underclass of minions who will serve their needs, although with no hope of being fully accepted into the elite class. That is reserved for the nomenklatura, as we will see in May with the Liberal convention.
In fact, the Liberal convention gives us interesting avenues for demonstration against the social-liberal mindset of the Canadian elites. Here we will see the convening of the Toronto-Montreal-Ottawa Party, the leading candidate backed by a noted paragon of the human rights mythology, the other major candidate up to his neck with collaboration with the Ontario thought police system of nanny state interference.
What could be a more obvious illustration of the hidden structure of the real ruling class in Canada?
This CPC government had better get off its ass really soon and start confronting, start leading instead of following conservatives. Their silence and inaction to date has been startling and deeply offensive. The Winnipeg convention let some light and fresh air into the undertaker's chambers, now it's time to bury the dead body and walk out into the sunlight.
Let the inquiries begin, as soon as Moon drops his load, the parliamentary inquiry must begin. The thought police must be dismantled. I would like to see a wider-ranging inquiry into coercive practices in the civil service as outlined earlier, but perhaps this is too much for one committee to handle.
Counter-revolution is the only answer. Ezra says fire them all, I think arrest them all would be a more necessary step. The Canadian people could make a good start by turning their backs on the Liberal Party which is the chief enabling group, and demanding that the NDP distance itself from this whole process as well. If the Liberals only got votes from the people who actually get patronage, as opposed to the ones who hope they might get a few crumbs, then their vote would be down to 5% like the Green Party. |
