received tidbits over the last day

Looks like quite a few people emailed their MPs on this issue and included the Statement of Declaration flyer. Email boxes must have been rather full.

From some of the notes coming back, people passed it along their own email chains to others, who in turn did the same - a grassfire started !

Take that, Mr. Harper and you Red Tories!

Now, let's try to do the same at the Liberal convention next spring!

You are right HoS,
This should be a non-partisan issue.

There is still a lot of work to do.

I agree it should be non-partisan.

I think it sends a strong message to Harper and his buddies that they can't fool around anymore. If it passed overwhelmingly, I would think that it got majority support in every province, at least almost every province.

Then our next target should involve the opposition party conventions and the UNIONS, The Unions have to understand that this effects them more than the know.

Update & Correction:

Resolution P-203 received overwhelming support at a plenary session – and still has to be voted on in full convention session tomorrow.

Update 2

The plenary sessions are a form of screening process where the Resolutions to be debated are chosen. There is not time at a convention to debate every resolution. So this becomes a vetting process at the CPC of which resolutions are shot down before a full floor vote.

notes from the convention ..

After the session on social and democratic framework, where Pp-203 passed with overwhelming support, they had to choose 5 out of the 12 resolutions that had passed in the session and write them down so they could choose which items would be moved forward to tomorrow's session.

Let's hope that everyone included P-203 in their 5 choices.

Heard a report that the Unborn Victims of Crime resolution supporting Ken Epp's old bill also passed and will also come to a full vote.
