Folks, as you may have heard, I gave birth on Monday to a baby girl (see my blog). I had to interrupt my internet fast to bring you this important rumour:

Henry Morgentaler has terminal cancer and has two weeks to live.

As per an email I received:

Dear friends,

As most of you have probably heard already, Henry Morgentaler, Canada’s leading abortionist, is receiving the Order of Canada. This event is a good reminder that Morgentaler desperately needs our prayers, a need that is all the more urgent because he is very ill. He has terminal cancer; he has been given two weeks to live.

There is a novena being organized by the youth of Campaign Life Coalition, beginning July 4th. For more info, email me at sfortin@ca.inter.net

I don't believe most of what I read on the net most of time as is, and within the context of recent events, this just sounds too suspicious to me. What's next, a miracle death bed repentence?

He has been rumoured to be sick.

And CLC was right about Morgentaler getting the Order of Canada.

I understand there was a death watch for Morgentaler several months ago as well. Media outlets were preparing obituaries and such.

I am not as Christ-like as some of the rest of you. His death couldn't be too imminent or too painful for my taste.

There are very few human beings that I would have such callous disregard for, and that list is populated with the likes of Paul Bernardo, Robert Pickton and Osama Bin Laden.
