I wonder if Blazing Cat Fur is the next target/
From today's National Post, reporting on the Human Rights gathering this week:
***************
Both she and Ms. Eliadis had harsh words for the growing contingent of bloggers who lambaste the commissions, and have been invigorated by the prominence of the Maclean's complaints.
Ms. Eliadis singled out one in particular, blazingcatfur. blogspot.com, as "poisonous" for referring to her panel at the conference as a "Texas cage match."

Two comments:
1) When you take flak, you know you're over the target,
2) For the HRC's, "Hate speech" is simply speech you hate. _________________ "There are some opinions so stupid, only liberals could hold them"

I doubt the CHRC will be launching any new high profile attacks on Canadian citizens soon. These HRCs can only operate in the dark and now they are too busy scurrying like cockroaches from the light. The thought police and their political supporters are defanged as long as the light continues to shine brightly.
Constant vigilance. _________________ "If it takes force to impose your ideas on your fellow man, there is something wrong with your ideas. If you are willing to use force to impose your ideas on your fellow man, there is something wrong with you." - Entropy Squared |

Hell's Bells- that's a flattering description of that lurking of tinpot totalitarians hiding behind the smokescreen of "rights."
They ought to get out of their bubble more often and read what real people really think of them. _________________ Just an Old Keyboard Cowboy, ridin' the trakball into the Twilight... |

Do not underestimate the desire for some people to excercise controll over others.
Imagine the CHRC laboring a blazing catfur out of existence, without suffering reprisal from the people or government. A victory of that magnitude would signal the entire country as to who is really in charge. |

You may be surprised to find out who is actually in charge, a lot of VIP's may be quite surprised as well. They exist at our pleasure and at our pleasure alone.
If you doubt that then open a history book. Can't happen in Canada? Too many sheeple? ...that is the most common mistake that history reveals, it is exactly when they are certain they have absolute control that all hell breaks loose.
It can happen, and at the rate things are going it is virtually inevitable. _________________ Truth Is Treason In The Empire Of Lies |

It is you who would be suprised. A populist revolt in Canada is extremely unlikely to result in a single nation with better governance. To put it bluntly. The "people" have no power here because we are not a people. |

Agreed off topic a little, but it is a country of core-periphery [not in the marxist sense] and regions with little in common except money transfers, some cultural artefacts and bonding through war. With the multi-cult such ties are easily broken. |

Gee whiz, I'm not alone. Thank God I wasn't the only one who saw through the CBC BS garbage. Atlantic Canada may as well be in Ireland for all I care, and Quebec... well never mind. Most of the rest I can live with as neighbours as long as you speak understandable English and keep your damned hands off my billfold. _________________ MORE ALBERTA. Less Ottawa.

I should clarify that I have nothing whatsoever against Atlantic Canada. In fact the people seem very nice. I'm referring more to a cultural aspect. My neighbours and I have far more in common with those in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, etc., and money isn't extorted from us to cut them cheques for votes. That's the fault of Ottawa, not people in Atlantic Canada. Thanks. _________________ MORE ALBERTA. Less Ottawa.

You hrc fascist bastards can make like the birds and flock off, you scumbag bigots are NOT going to tell ME what I can or cannot say.
My uncles did not fight in the last great war so scum anti freedom heretics like hrcs and their damned stooges could impose their shite headed cultic beliefs on the rest of us.
If you will excuse me I have to attend to a will not hanging off the ass end of one of my dogs, sure looks like a picture of someone I saw who is an hrc droid. _________________ Please let me know if I said something that offended you. I may want to offend you again sometime. |

I doubt that.
Let me ask you this, and I am dead serious, will you lay down and submit to tyranny? Will you allopw the government to control every aspect of your life and enforce values upon yopu that are clearly contrary to evrything Canada was and everything our forefathers fought to defend?
..... will you?
I will not, and an very great many others will not.
