I just thought I would post an email I received from Rick Dykstra on Friday. I was away all weekend and didn't have a chance to post it. Here it is.
Quote:
I’m writing because I know that you are interested in the subject of Human Rights Commissions and I just wanted to give you an update as to what actions I am taking concerning this subject.

I have been following this situation over the past months and due to what has been reported in the news media and the great interest that this issue has generated amongst constituents like yourself. I have come to the conclusion that this issue merits further study. That is why I have submitted a motion to the clerk of the Justice Committee, of which I am a member, to review the mandate and operations of the Canadian Human Rights Commission and the application and interpretation of section 13 of the Canadian Human Rights Act.

I know that I have the support of my Conservative colleagues on the committee for this review, however in order for my motion to pass I need the support of at least one other committee member. If my motion passes the committee will study these matters and submit a report to the House of Commons, which will include any proposed amendments to the Canadian Human Rights Act that arise from the Committee’s deliberation.

Thank you for taking the time to write me. If you have any further comments or concerns, please feel free to contact me at my community office at 905-934-6767 or by e-mail at rick@rickdykstra.ca.

Regards,

Rick Dykstra, M.P.,

I think that is the message fourhorses. If we all get working on the ones that need a political push it would definitely help our cause. Maybe I should have high lighted or underlined that part to draw peoples attention to it. If we focus on lobbying them it should help us out.

I'm just working on getting the names and contact information on the other committee members. In the mean time if anyone has such info I'd be happy if you shared it with us. Thanks.
