God Bless President Bush

Postby CultureWarrior » 10/ 14/ 06 9:20 am

For all his faults, and for all the secular-progressive media denigrate, slander, and ridicule him, President Bush is still in my eyes a great American president. This is a leader who inherited an economy in recession, presided over the most brutal and deadly attack on his nation's soil since the civil war, prosecuted two wars in far away lands; look at his results: he turned around the US economy, defeated two terror regimes, and spat in the eye of the thugs who rejoiced in his country's loss. As Zell Miller so eloquently siad, he is a "God fearing man, with a good heart, and a spine of tempered steele."

I could say a lot more, but I think this pictures sums it up a lot better than any words can:

"Who is in your face here? Who started this? Who is on the offensive? Who is pushing the envelope? The answer is obvious. A radical Left aided by a cultural elite that detests Christianity and finds Christian moral tenets reactionary and repressive is hell-bent on pushing its amoral values and imposing its ideology on our nation. The unwisdom of what Hollywood and the Left are about should be apparent to all." -Patrick J. Buchanan

well put-- I've always liked President Bush.--- 1 and 2.

The pressure he is under must be crushing--- which is manageable, but the insulting so called humor and hate toward him in face of the situation in the world must really hurt.

God Bless the man, President Bush.

18- But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds."
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.

He's had good intentions, but whats' he actually accomplished in 6 years besides racking up a huge government debt, and toppling a couple of two-bit dictatorships?

And, where's the photo of him holding hands with the Saudi prince?

The man liberated 50 million people and chased the butcher of Baghdad into a spider hole... What have you accomplished over the past 6 years?

Neither the Taliban nor the Iraqi military were any match for the U.S. military. It was a walkover. Beyond those to military victories, I don't see much has been accomplished that couldn't have been done alot cheaper by firing some missiles from the Persian Gulf and taking out Saddam's leadership.

If you want to debate president Bush's presidency, can we do it in another thread? I know all the facts you do, and draw a different conclusion about president Bush. I created this thread to share some photos and positive memories of his presidency, not to have him attacked. There's ample supply of that in the MSM if that's what you're looking for.

It only comes down to one question;

Is Bush a Great President, or the Greatest President?

Oh, yeah... I found that picture.

Transcript: President Bush's Radio Address

Saturday , October 14, 2006

Good morning.

Earlier this week, the government of North Korea proclaimed to the world that it had conducted a successful nuclear weapons test. In response to North Korea's provocative actions, America is working with our partners in the region and in the United Nations Security Council to ensure that there are serious repercussions for the North Korean regime.

North Korea has been pursuing nuclear weapons and defying its international commitments for years. In 1993, North Korea announced that it was withdrawing from the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty. The United States negotiated with North Korea and reached a bilateral agreement in 1994: North Korea committed to giving up its pursuit of nuclear weapons in exchange for help with peaceful nuclear power.

After I came to office, we discovered that North Korea had been violating this agreement for some time by continuing work on a covert nuclear weapons program. My administration confronted the North Korea regime with this evidence in 2002, and the North Koreans subsequently walked away from the 1994 agreement.

So my Administration decided to take a new approach. We brought together other nations in the region in an effort to resolve the situation through multilateral diplomacy. The logic behind this approach is clear: North Korea's neighbors have the most at stake, and they are North Korea's principal sources of food, energy, and trade, so it makes sense to enlist them in the effort to get the North Korean regime to end its nuclear program.

This diplomatic effort was called the Six-Party Talks, and these talks included North and South Korea, China, Japan, Russia and the United States. In September of last year, these diplomatic efforts resulted in a wide-ranging Joint Statement that offered a resolution to the problem and a better life for the North Korean people. In this Joint Statement, North Korea committed to abandoning all nuclear weapons and existing nuclear programs. North Korea was offered the prospect of normalized relations with Japan and the United States, as well as economic cooperation in energy, trade, and investment. And the United States affirmed that we have no nuclear weapons on the Korean Peninsula and no intention to attack or invade North Korea.

Unfortunately, North Korea failed to act on its commitment. And with its actions this week, the North Korean regime has once again broken its word, provoked an international crisis, and denied its people the opportunity for a better life. We are working for a resolution to this crisis.

Nations around the world, including our partners in the Six-Party Talks, agree on the need for a strong United Nations Security Council resolution that will require North Korea to dismantle its nuclear programs. This resolution should also specify measures to prevent North Korea from importing or exporting nuclear or missile technologies. And it should prevent financial transactions or asset transfers that would help North Korea develop its nuclear or missile capabilities.

By passing such a resolution, we will send a clear message to the North Korean regime that its actions will not be tolerated. And we will give the nations with the closest ties to North Korea — China and South Korea — a framework to use their leverage to pressure Pyongyang and persuade its regime to change course.

As we pursue a diplomatic solution, we are also reassuring our allies in the region that America remains committed to their security. We have strong defense alliances with Japan and South Korea, and the United States will meet these commitments. And in response to North Korea's provocation, we will seek to increase our defense cooperation with our allies, including cooperation on ballistic missile defense to protect against North Korean aggression, and cooperation to prevent North Korea from importing or exporting nuclear or missile technologies.

Our goals remain clear: peace and security in Northeast Asia, and a nuclear-free Korean Peninsula. We will do what is necessary to achieve these goals. We will support our allies in the region, we will work with the United Nations, and together we will ensure that North Korea faces real consequences if it continues down its current path.

Thank you for listening.

If you love deficits, love to watch other people get killed in war, run an oil company, or are a wealth Saudi, then he could very well be the greatest president of all time.

God bless him, I sure won't.

He's garbage but the people who hate him are generally the scum of the earth.

Ie: Bin Laden, muslims, communists, European socialist bedwetters, Canadian socialist bedwetters, neo-nazis like Pat Buchanan, third world savages from South America and Africa, etc etc etc.

Actually, I quite like him!!! :)

As far as deficits go, he has reduced the deficit from over 500B to 247B, just like he said he would do, but I guess, promises don't matter! He has the toughest job in the world, and he sure is doing it better than Clinton, the weenie!

So, like him or not, what would have happened to the world if Clinton had still been in power when 9/11 shattered the western world??

I believe that the greatness of the American nation and its people doesn't come forward in its own mainstream media.

I believe that history will remember President George W. Bush in a more favourable light that seems to be shone upon him now.

At the last 9/11 ceremony in New York, the President and Mrs Bush noticed that families of the dead were floating flowers in the pools of water. So, the President took the wreath he had come to lay and put it on the surface of a pool as well -- telling those families in gesture that America shared their pain.

That's class. God Bless President Bush and God Bless America.

Should Canada find itself in desperate need of help to deal with a major problem, I have little doubt that our American neighbours would move heaven and earth to help us. I sleep better knowing this.

Americans love their country and respect the office of the President. We have a lot to learn from them.
