RULE #1: RESPECT FREE DOMINION AND YOUR HOSTS
Connie and Mark Fournier created Free Dominion in very early 2001 and dedicated the web site to the promotion of principled conservatism. Please respect the aims and objectives of your hosts and keep your posts focused on conservative views of issues.
RULE #2 – DO NOT SNIPE, SPAM OR TROLL
Do not engage in:
- • Inflammatory posts seeking a reactionary response (trolling);
• Consistent negative posts with little or no debate value (sniping);
• Flooding the forums with numerous threads on the same issue (spamming);
RULE #3 - NO PERSONAL ATTACKS OR STALKING
Do not:
- • attack or demean another member for his or her beliefs or religious convictions, or attack another member’s personal character or integrity. Argue the issues.
• attack the member who posts an article from other media for review and discussion; ensure you deal with the article author or issues you dispute.
• engage in personal disputes (flame wars);
• comment on the appearance, beliefs and religion of public figures; or.
• engage in stalking another member.

RULE #4 - AVOID VULGARITY AND SHUN SWEARING.
Do not engage in swearing or vulgarity. Using #@&*$%# indicates you have a limited vocabulary. We will edit or delete posts containing vulgarity or swearing without notice.

RULE #5 - KEEP THREADS CLEAR AND ON TOPIC
Do not:
- • change the thrust of a thread because the argument raises another issue for you. Open a new thread on the separate issue.
• insert a post on your favourite issue into a thread on a different issue or topic.
• If you have a cherished issue, start a thread on the issue and add to it as new information or thoughts occur.
Do not post “adult” content including pornography of any kind, images of naked people, violent scenes and images intended to shock.
If you an image is an important part of your argument, but does not pass the test above, provide a hyperlink that users can click on if they so choose along with an accurate warning of the content.
RULE #7 - COPY FROM OTHER MEDIA:
When posting from another media source, you must:
- • show the source, author and date of the article;
• provide a link directly to that source;
• use the headline from the media piece as the thread header
• include at least the lead paragraph of the article. Do not send readers on a blind chase to find the article you refer to.
• avoid posting duplicates of threads already on the forums.
• add the story to an existing thread if the topic is already started.

RULE #8 – FOLLOW OUR PRINCIPLES FOR LOGIAL AND RESPECTFUL DEBATE.

RULE #9 - RESPECT THE MODERATORS.
Respect cautionary reminders of the Moderators. Members who demean, ignore or question the integrity of Moderators on the forum may see their posting privileges withdrawn.
RULE #10 – REPORT RULE INFRACTIONS AND COMPLAINTS
Report rule infractions to a Moderator or Administrator via Private Message (PM). We cannot pick up every infraction as the number of daily posts keeps growing.

As outlined in the agreement for registration, Free Dominion will not be responsible for any illegal content that a member posts. Your FD alias is no protection. You can be called to account for what you publish. Free Dominion will not protect you. “Over-the-top” posts about public figures that test legal limits are unwelcome. If you post libellous or defamatory material, you are on your own. We take no responsibility for problems posters may cause for themselves.
