Obama has done enough. Hoping for GOP failure so a Ron Paul utopia can be created is the equivalent of being a student leftist sticking to the man.

4 Liberal mandates that had net debt pay down, balanced budgets, net cuts to equalization and health and education transfers, and NAFTA...Compared to what we have now, Chretien is looking pretty good...

Rand's claim to fame has been doing a TV commercial for his dad and ranting on CNN about airport security. What next, Ron Paul's neighbour's sister's nephew?

I thought his position and leadership role he took promoting not increasing the debt ceiling limit in Congress, and balancing the budget is something you would have supported but then again I guess I was wrong.

You don't believe that President Gingrich will be re-nominated by acclamation?

With Ron Paul winning GOP power structures one by one, suddenly Rand Paul being a legitimate contender in 2016 seems very plausible. This leadership race of choosing Mitt Romney as the candidate is causing conservatives to strike back from within - it becoming a war of socialists (those who back Romney) and conservatives (The Ron Paul people seizing the reigns of power from within. This is going to get interesting.

Jeb is the one Bush who I could really get behind. I have the same like of Rand Paul. Thus what I would prefer to see in 2016 is a Rand/Jeb or Jeb/Rand ticket, preferably with Sarah Palin as proposed secretary of state.

I don't think Rand would be stupid enough to have a Bush on the ticket. That brand of politics won't sell in a lot of states.

The only thing Rand Paul has going for him is his father's name.

He doesn't even share the same political philosophy. It's really a silly thing to base a political movement on.

If Romney doesn't win, Petraus is a likely nominee, or Bush.

U.S. Sen. Rand Paul was flanked by supporters as he announced that he was returning $500,000 to the federal government that was slated for his budget office.
