Rand had said for months that he was supporting his father, but would support whoever the Republican nominee is. The fact is that Rand is playing nice with the Republican party, and that irks some in the liberty movement who prefer to be more confrontational with the establishment. I understand the sentiment from an emotional point of view, but Rand is being smarter about it by playing nice with Repubs. The fact is that the liberty movement needs to stop worrying about being co-opted by the establishment and focus on co-opting the Republican party. The easiest way to do that is to get in bed with them, which is what Rand is doing.
If you sup with the devil better bring a long spoon.
When it comes to co-optation my money is on the establishment.
