I would obviously agree as well because I essentially said it first. :D

I'm all for making a list of the troublemakers and making darn sure that they never again receive any kind of educational funding even from behind bars. Don't bite the hand that feeds you is a lesson they need to learn.

Never heard of this Xavier Dolan guy. As for the rest of them, if they support the students, well they can chip in and set up a "support the poor students" fund.

Interesting that these celebrities or pseudo celebrities support people who vandalize business's and disrupt those who would prefer to attend classes to educate themselves and become productive members of society.

I've been saying it over and over...a $1,750 tuition increase over several years. If this was an increase in one single year, then I could understand people being upset with it, without the vandalism and recklessness of course.

Someone tell me why all the fuss over this. Nanny state mentality I suppose. I can see whom these arses vote for.

Try to imagine if work-a-day property tax payers took to this behaviour annually at property tax notice increase time. Think 500,000 instead of 10,000 - and with assets on the line to lose aside from getting spiffy media attention over really nothing.

If I was an prospective employer, and one of these students offered their services as an employee, I would explain to them that this firm does not hire thugs or miscreants, and show them the door.

They wouldn't come to you anyway, they'll hired by the various levels of government and not-for-profits and will continue living off the backs of taxpayers till their death.

MONTREAL - Student leaders plan to mark the 100th day of their strike Tuesday with their largest rally to date, with thousands of people expected to gather downtown in the rain.

Students from across Quebec are expected to voice their opposition to Premier Jean Charest's planned $1,800 tuition hike over seven years.

They're also upset about a special law aimed at curbing violent clashes with police......................http://www.torontosun.com/2012/05/22/ma ... ent-strike

Union cash flowing into Quebec to fund prolonged protests

MONTREAL - Out-of-province money is rolling in for Quebec student activists amid warnings their protest movement could persist into the summer.

Trade unions based outside Quebec have already confirmed sending more than $36,000 into the bank accounts of the province's largest student federations.

Union leaders in the rest of Canada say they're now asking their memberships to vote on new donations for the student groups.

Several union delegations are heading to Montreal for a large protest today, while sister events are being organized in different cities inside and outside Canada.

The executive director of the Canadian Association of University Teachers says his union could approve a financial contribution for the students in the next day or two.

James Turk says there's added urgency to help out after the Quebec government adopted an emergency law last week that sets some restrictions on protests.

Turk says his association could also help support student court challenges to Bill 78 — which he calls "repressive" and "worrisome."....................http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/canada ... 15355.html

The unions appear to be stepping all over themselves to sponsor this madness and still the the NDP remains silent. I wonder why
