A lot of people I know quite well chastised me for supporting Wildrose. That, combined with other casual conversations prior to the election, I can safely say that there isn't a bit of truth that climate change denial was the #1 reason people wouldn't vote Wildrose. It wasn't #2 or #3 or ......
#1 was easily the typical fear-mongering lines about the religious right and the conscience rights platform was all the proof many needed. Off the mark stereotyping to be sure but still the fear-mongering done by the campaign workers that I know personally for the PC candidate in my riding in the last week was relentless and very effective.
Fact is...the polls were horribly, horribly wrong.
Believe it or not yourself, most Canadians really do think the climate is all f'd up.
