As much of the world starves, UN probes hunger in… Canada

From Blazing Cat Fur

As much of the world starves, UN sends hunger probe to… Canada

“There is no food and no clean water, nothing,” Mahmoud, a 12-year-old boy from Homs, Syria, told Reuters Thursday. “There is no shop open and we only have one meal a day. How can we live like that and survive?”

According to the World Food Program, half a million people don’t have enough to eat in Syria. Fears are growing that the regime is using hunger as a weapon.

This is the kind of emergency which should attract the attention of the UN Human Rights Council’s hunger monitor, who has the ability to spotlight situations and place them on the world agenda. Yet Olivier de Schutter of Belgium, the “Special Rapporteur on the right to food,” is not going to Syria.

Instead, the UN’s food monitor is coming to investigate Canada."

If this lunacy wasn't real it would be a great comedy,in fact it is living testimony of a world turned upside down.
The U.N. is full of phony, corrupt, worthless, highly paid bureaucrat beasts making a living from thumping their chests and making hard speeches all the while spewing well dressed dung.

The world's social justice hypocrites who look the other way as innocents die and suffer through wars, and famines often at the hands of ruthless thugs and dictators influenced by radical Islam, while simultaneously spreading their hyperbole against Christians and the countries that try to do the most. Perhaps Stephen Lewis,anti-poverty activists, coalitions, unions, and/or the NDP used their "well placed"influence to bring these jack asses to town?

The UN is rotten to the core and needs to be defunded and kicked off American soil- I covered them years ago:

Sure no shortage of military weaponry in Syria though - mostly used on its own people these days as well.

But I thought everyone in Canada was morbidly obese and just about to die from being fat, fat, fat!

This is true.....one in four Canadian adults is clinically obese, compared with one in three in the United States

It was politely communicated to me in a mixed crowd of intellectuals some time ago that the u.n. should be targetted by a missile at the time of most activity.

I also heard a minister say on TV years ago that the u.n should be bulldozed into the East River.
Please let me know if I said something that offended you. I may want to offend you again sometime.

I used to maintain that the U.N. has some worthwhile bodies such as the WHO and UNICEF but these are few and far between. The utter uselessness of the U.N. was exposed for all to see in Rwanda. Their peacekeepers from third world countries are by and large criminal thugs who pillage, rape and loot. The kleptocrats put in charge of dispensing U.N. funds hire their cronies and members of their extended families to obscenely highly paid posts in target countries. Funds are diverted into private accounts through creative accounting. Western countries who contribute the large bulk of U.N. funds through assigned fees know full well what is going on but like sheep continue to pay up. It's time for the U.N. to go the way of the League of Nations. The U.N. plan on Sustainable Development is scary stuff. It envisages a cumpulsory set of mandates governing all human economic activity. In effect it would transfer much of the developed world's wealth to the developing world. Even Marx never went that far.

Who is Olivier de Schutter of Belgium, the “Special Rapporteur on the right to food”?

From Blazing Cat Fur

Weasel Faced Commie Olivier De Schutter Praises Assad Disses America, Canada, Israel

"Even when De Schutter does visit legitimate countries of concern, why does he repeatedly reach the wrong conclusions? De Schutter did once go to Syria—in 2010, long before the current crisis. His report mentioned several problems, but took pains to repeatedly praise the Assad regime. De Schutter actually went at the invitation of the Assad regime. Likewise, the Communist regime of China also ran after De Schutter.

These regimes never seek out independent investigations. Why the exception for De Schutter? During his visit, De Schutter held out Syria’s Assad regime as a model. He praised the Assad regime for its “very high, excellent” level of cooperation and “openness.” He said it was “extremely encouraging, the signSyria is giving by being so open and transparent in its co-operation with the human-rights council.”
