"She injects herself in things she does not understand."
Well, where to begin about liberals? The entire modern political discourse is basically driven by liberals inserting themselves into things they do not understand. David Letterman proves this on almost a daily basis, and actually seems to know it is true. The reason they continue is because nobody can shut them up in a free society, so they confuse the number of times they say something with how true it is.
For example, just because a hundred thousand people have said in public that same sex marriage is okay with God, does not mean that it actually is okay with God. It is okay with pot-smoking new age theologians who confuse themselves with God (probably when high) and so they blurt out what they believe to be true, and even after correction refuse to stop saying the same false and (to young people) misleading things over and over.
In Sarah Palin's case, she was not the reason McLame lost the election, she was the reason he even came within a few percentage points of winning. He was the one who decided to go easy on Obama, a guy that the media won't probe, and therefore the Republican presidential nominee is the only person with one chance every four years to put in the hot seat. Even the U.S. media can't ignore that, but McLame ran what must have been the worst presidential campaign since Dukakis and more or less gifted the election. Sarah Palin running for president with any random person as vice-president would have done better. That's why many are hoping that Gingrich will win the nomination this time, because he simply won't cave in to Obama and let him dominate the debates or the campaign.
As for what the Republican establishment may or may not think of Sarah Palin, who cares? They are just go-slow Dumbocrats and would be afraid of their own shadow if they ever went outside. Most of them are like David Frum, just pretend conservatives whose policies issue by issue are no different from centrist donkey-people.
