NDP as Official Opposition Conservative 36% NDP 25% Libs 23%

The survey of 2,727 voting-age Canadians was conducted Wednesday evening. It was an interactive voice response survey with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.2 per cent 19 times out of 20. The margin of error for regional and provincial breakdowns is slightly higher, but in such a large survey, with 348 citizens reached in the GTA alone, it is a reliable indicator of election trend lines.

Seems like the electoral night won't be that predictable after all!

Duceppe is in panic mode, none of his usual strategies works against Layton.

Numbers like this and you can soon see a "unite the left" action take hold.

Then, we're screwed.

A dyslectic might read that as "untie the left"

This poll is good news for the CPC, regardless of what their score is.

Just saw an Ipsos poll on SUN showing the CPC at 43 and the NDP ahead of the Libs by 2. Man, this race is starting to get a little funky, a little exciting.

Agreed. Traditionally, the only place increased NDP votes come from is the Liberals. With the left-wing vote split, CPC comes up the middle in a lot of tight races.

Which could spell a Tory majority.

Oh goody.

Not as scary as america with its huge debt. Hear they might even lose their triple A credit rating. These damn wars are just to expensive plus all those bases overseas plus their international financial handouts like in Egypt etc. all adds up to a scary scenario. Thanks but with all of its (Paybec) Warts is still one of the best countries in the world. I believe we are still 2nd or 3rd happiest in the world.

A sociaist province liker Paybec is starting to support a socialist party? Who would have thunk it.

Next you'll tell me the East Coast provinces are calling more for spending...

A country with the NDP even in opposition position is not one I'll remain in. Scary. Imagine them and Paybec hooking up.

In a minority situation that is VERY scary indeed. If Harper wins a majority, hopefully he can fully expose the stupidity of their socialist policies.

I predict that these latest poll results will see a number of blue gLiberals now park their vote with the CPC. The prospect of an NDP opposition makes a CPC majority a slam dunk.
