If you want a party where decisions are made by a handful of party operators and PMO with no regard for what the constituents want, where a candidate can be parachuted into a riding against the opposition of the local riding association, where promises to the grassroot supporters are broken because the top brass don't like them, where the political machinery is more important than the people they should be serving, then what exactly is the difference between CPC and LPC? Just gun registery? Rest assured that a party which is not operating based on principles will not honor any promises made to you.

If it has disappeared it did so because it was allowed to and we have only ourselves to blame.
I refuse to take the blame for that. I have done all of the kicking and screaming and ranting and raving I could do. I put my name forward for the policy committee and got pushed out, I ran for the nomination and had enough of my voters turned away at the door to lose it for me. I brought a motion to the first Convention and had Stephen Harper put the kibosh on it before it could even hit the floor. I helped organize a campaign at the Winnipeg Convention to encourage delegates for vote for the policy to abolish Section 13, and it was wildly successful, but Harper ignored it.
Short of grabbing Stephen Harper by the scruff of the neck and stuffing him in a closet, I can't think of ANYTHING else I could have done to prevent what has happened.
The only think I know to do is try to make sure he isn't given the unlimited power of a majority.
