One of my sons thinks that farting is funny - we hope he overcomes that before kindergarten.

Unfortunately, men never seem to really outgrow the idea that burp-fart-poo are hysterically funny.

Noblesse Oblige - one must give the ladies some cause to feel superior!
People who sneer at education and at young people in general because they have no ''real world experience'' are invariably people who never managed to rise much above entry level, know they never will, and are bitter about it. Successful people encourage the young, and appreciate new ideas and different perspectives.

My dad, my father in law and my husband have never told a fart joke in my presence and I doubt that they tell them in general.

I think it takes a certain mindset.

Have they ever even laughed at one in your presence? There's something to be said for not doing so in the presence of a woman - that's just gentlemanly. I find it increasingly difficult to believe they have never thought it humorous, even if they withheld themselves from making their amusement known.

Besides, Canadians are well known for their fart humor. I mean, come on, you guys invented Terrance and Philip!

My grandson never did either -- yet his mother said that when he and his Big Brother had a movie night at Big Brother's place, bodily noises played a significant part in the conversation and the choice of movies. :) I say this not to judge them, merely stating an observation that male and female humour can be quite radically different.

If someone told a joke they would laugh or smile because they would think it was polite. I doubt they'd be offended as I would be - they would just not give it much reflection.

I don't know who Terrance and Phillip are.

They're looking for treasure and they like to eat Kraft (Kroff) Dinner.

Has anyone seen Saddam Hussein lately?
