Ezra, can Chris Parry of the Vancouver Sun be charged with hate crimes?
http://www.freerepublic.com/focu...s/2290929/ posts
The Vancouver Sun "journalist" Chris Parry that defamed Jim Robinson and FreeRepublic is none other than radical left blogger "Hollywoodoz" at the Daily Kos. ~snip~ Chris Parry actually advocated attacking "negros" and blaming the republicans for it. See this post at the Daily Kos by "hollywoodoz", who is in reallity, as proven below Chris Parry of the Vancouver Sun. See it here: http://www.dailykos.com/story/20...9/9/10324/ 92702
WK's School of Racism? ...-
"The hypocrisy of Vancouver Sun's Chris Parry & the Daily Kos Research on Google and Freerepublic.com
Chris Parry wrote a scathing article in the Vancouver Sun about Jim Robinson and Freerepublic; comments Chris deemed racist about the Obama girls. He criticized the posted comments then blasted Freerepublic for not removing them in a timely fashion after a few days. Yet, Chris has now admitted he indeed is the racist blogger "hollywoodoz" from the Daily Kos who said many months ago it was time to set up republicans for false racist attacks. See reply #365 to this post, http://www.freerepublic.com/focu...s/2290929/ posts Chris Parry posted racist comments on the Daily Kos but complains about others supposed racist comments. That double standard should not stand and Chris should be fired from the Vancouver Sun. Chris says Jim Robinson was wrong to not quickly remove the posts from FreeRepublic but Chris Parry does not complain about the Daily Kos not removing his own posts from 2006. Chris knew those racist posts were there since he posted them. Would it not be just as fair to hold the Daily Kos to the same standard he tries to hold Freerepublic to? Well Chris, when do we see your article criticizing the Daily Kos for leaving your racist rant online for Y E A R S ?????? Chris, you have been outed and neutered.
Freepers, please write the Vancouver Sun and ask them to fire Chris Parry ASAP. Media links are here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focu...s/2290929/ posts

EVERYTHING SEEMINGLY IS SPINNING OUT OF CONTROL: Rain and cool weather wash away millions of tourism dollars in Northeast. “Relentless rain and cool weather since early June have sent visitors scrambling home and washed away millions of tourism dollars across the Northeast. But the first 80-degree readings this month gave a glimmer of hope Friday that summer can be salvaged.” I blame Global Warming1 Er, I mean, Climate Change!
Even M-O-R-E Hopi Changi Ness:
Obama’s popularity declines, and the investigations begin. “Call me a cynic, but I am not in the least surprised that a couple of weeks after Barack Obama’s strong approval/disapproval ratings took a turn to the unfavorable and Obamacare is looking less like a lead pipe cinch it is suddenly time to investigate the Bush administration.”
Daily Kos Far Left Nutjob Caught In Blogging Scandal
A Vancouver reporter accused Free Republic of allowing racist comments this weekend. But, oddly enough, this same Vancouver Sun reporter, Chris Parry, has a very controversial background. He has advocated on Daily Kos for liberals to post hate speech on conservative blogs and blame it on conservatives. What a strange coincidence? Gawker reported:
But the real story here is that this same reporter and Daily Kos contributer has advocated on his Daily Kos blog any number of egregious offenses, among them: posting hate speech on sites like Free Republic and blaming it on conservatives.
It gets worse, though. Chris Parry, it appears, has advocated on his Daily Kos blog any number of egregious offenses, among them: posting hate speech on sites like Free Republic and blaming it on conservatives. Parry posted under the name "hollywoodoz" on Daily Kos, where his signature was "Fool me once, I'll punch you in the f*cking head." Parry outed himself as hollywoodoz here, where he discloses the company he helped start. In essence: Parry, the journalist, found his story right where he'd been circling it for a very long time, and reported it as news. Sigh.
Bottom line: Parry's noble intentions are paving him a road to hell... Jammie Wearing Fool reports that "naturally the Freepers are tearing him a new one."
Chris Parry has advocated attacking blacks and blaming Republicans. Here is one of his comments on Daily Kos:
Here is one of Chris Parry's (hollywoodOz) postings on Daily Kos attacking Bill O'Reilly: Google-Bomb O'Reilly as a "terrorist sympathizer"
Just when you thought things couldn't get any crazier, a warped diarist from the Daily Kos hate-site is attacking a conservative website for hate speech.
THE END of Obamania? African journalist makes CNN Obama cheerleader look really, really stupid
July 13, 2009 05:01 AM by Michelle Malkin
For a Monday morning snort-sntart, check out the video via Newsbusters of African journalist Nkepile Mabuse fact-checking anchor Don Lemon over the weekend. Aptly named. Lemon certainly looked like he had swallowed something sour after Mabuse rejected his obsequious suggestion that President Obama’s warm welcome was somehow “unprecedented.” Golden moment: Mabuse: “It’s not unprecedented. When President Bush was here, you will remember, in February, there were people who were drumming, there were dances, and President Bush joined some of them.” At least Lemon had the restraint not to mention Obama’s “SWAGGA.” Obama July 2: Recovery Will Take Months... Obama July 12: Recovery Will Take Years
Change!Obama says the recovery will take months. Barack Obama on July 2, 2009:
U.S. President Barack Obama said on Thursday there were signs that the "economic storm" that has made millions jobless was waning, but warned that it would still take the United States many months to recover. Ten days later... The recovery will take years not months. Barack Obama on July 9, 2009:
Obama: Recovery Will Take Years Not Months. "It was, from the start, a two-year program, and it will steadily save and create jobs as it ramps up over this summer and fall." Does this guy really know what's going on?
Related... The Obama Administration is not making much sense these days.

Sharia Finance: Javelin Goes Jihad
If you have money with a broker, bank, investment house, and you haven't done this already - tell your money manager not to invest your good, hard earned dough in sharia finance - NO ISLAMIC FINANCE. These funds are halal - so whole American businesses will be destroyed - tobacco, alcohol, pork, and some entertainment. And your money will fund "zakat" - Islamic charity, jihad funding. Think Holy Land Foundation. Sharia finance will destroy whole sectors of the American economy. Why would you finance the ideology that wants to slit your throat - not to mention their plan for your daughters? If your money is in Javelin, get it out. Firm launches first U.S. Shariah-compliant ETF Javelin Investment offering adheres to Islamic principles
The latest iteration of social and religious investment screens hit the market on the last trading day of June with the launch of the JETS Dow Jones Islamic Market International Index Fund (JVS). The exchange traded fund is not only the first product offering from Princeton, N.J.-based Javelin Investment Management LLC, but it is also the first American ETF to adhere to Islamic beliefs about investing and finance. " The total population of Muslims in the United States is estimated to be 2.35 million, according to a 2007 report released by the Pew Research Center in Washington.

“GREEN ENERGY” PROGRAM A FLOP: Austin’s clean energy program costing more, selling less. “Now the nationally renowned program is struggling to find buyers — the latest allotment is 99 percent unsold after seven months on the market — and Austin Energy is looking for ways to bring down the rising costs.” See, environmentalism is mostly about posturing — it’s not actually about sacrificing.
Shocker!... NY Times Publishes Major Palin Hit Piece
Who ever would have ever guessed this one was coming down the pike? This was as predictable as Alaskan snow... The New York Times bashes Sarah Palin: Palin’s Route to Resignation: Missteps and Ignored Advice
In late March, a senior official from the Republican Governors Association headed for Alaska on a secret mission. Sarah Palin was beset by such political and personal turmoil that some powerful supporters determined an intervention was needed to pull her governorship, and her national future, back from the brink.
The official, the association’s executive director, Nick Ayers, arrived with a memorandum containing firm counsel, according to several people who know its details: Make a long-term schedule and stick to it, have staff members set aside ample and inviolable family time to replenish your spirits, and build a coherent home-state agenda that creates jobs and ensures re-election.
Like so much of the advice sent Ms. Palin’s way by influential supporters, it appeared to be happily received and then largely discarded, barely slowing what was, in retrospect, an inexorable march toward the resignation she announced 10 days ago. It gets much worse. You can read the whole hit piece here.
This was so predictable they could have raised money for the paper by holding a national lottery on which day it would be released.
Related... Stuart Schwartz at The American Thinker writes: "Sarah Palin loves God. God loves Sarah Palin. And, that is why they hate her...and Him."
UPDATE: Not to be outdone, the LA Times posted their own Palin hit piece today.

Then on the other hand, they demand FR institute the free and open inclusion of their own moronic (and poorly written) diatribes - they'll force you to include themselves, and exclude anyone they disagree with, all in the name of “tolerance”.' _________________ All Across America, the Lights are being relit again... |

Everything I said in Minus Five applies, only more so. (124) Comments "Cato is right. The economy has already fallen apart. Now it remains to be seen if a lot of comfortable lives start falling apart - and I believe we’ll see it - that’s where the rubber meets the road." However: "What matters is for whom ACORN will pack the votes. So long as he has an unprincipled mob of maybe 10 percent to act as intimidators, and another hyper-principled group to always counsel passive accomodation in the name of stability, he can maintain office. We still have not understood the fact that in this post-ACORN world, political popularity does not matter; control of the machine does." more of the same - kiss my black ass Possible 2010 bumper sticker: “Jobs, Jobs, Jobs.” Where? Where? Where? "I find it difficult to get worked up over Obama’s incompetence because effectively he’s already a lame duck. Even if Obama-Care and Cap-and-Trade became law, there is no money to fund those programs."
Grim Milestone... US Deficit Passes $1 Trillion For First Time Ever

Well that only took 5 months. It's too bad he can't blame Bush for this. Barack Obama became the first president ever to witness the US deficit top $1 trillion dollars under his watch today. FOX News reported:
Nine months into the fiscal year, the federal deficit has topped $1 trillion for the first time.
The imbalance is intensifying fears about higher interest rates and inflation, and already pressuring the value of the dollar. There's also concern about trying to reverse the deficit -- by reducing government spending or raising taxes -- in the midst of a harsh recession.
The Treasury Department said Monday that the deficit in June totaled $94.3 billion, pushing the total since the budget year started in October to nearly $1.1 trillion.
The deficit has been propelled by the huge sum the government has spent to combat the recession and financial crisis, combined with a sharp decline in tax revenues. Paying for wars in Iraq and Afghanistan also is a major factor.
The country's soaring deficits are making Chinese and other foreign buyers of U.S. debt nervous, which could make them reluctant lenders down the road. It could force the Treasury Department to pay higher interest rates to make U.S. debt attractive longer-term.
"These are mind boggling numbers," said Sung Won Sohn, an economist at the Smith School of Business at California State University. "Our foreign investors from China and elsewhere are starting to have concerns about not only the value of the dollar but how safe their investments will be in the long run." How about that Stimulus Bill?
Obama will quadruple the US budget deficit his first year in office. And, he wants to spend trillions more for his Obamacare program.
Related... Rep. Mike Pence said today that the Stimulus Bill is not working. Yeah, we know.

5 Strategies for Talking to Democrats About EuthanasiaI thank you for posting this- it is good information.
I'll never forget the money quote I read in an article in the Wall Street Journal, long before my internet days:
"In Belgium and Holland, the very old, and the very sick, fear being made to go in to the hospitals there- because they may be euthanized against their will..."
To me, at least, it's one thing when a person who is suffering without relief doesn't want to live anymore-- and another thing entirely, to give that power to the state, who has a vested interest in getting rid of "inconvenient people."
If you will dig thru this- which I authored:
-Useless Eaters vs The Death Cult--
you will find that money, corrupt judges & "guardians," and the Ahah! "Church" of Scientology is behind a lot of this drive... to get rid of useless eaters... and take their money and property.
( And on a side note, I see that the "force is strong" in trolls, disruptors, crazy people, and those with strange agendas- from looking back at comments on my posts recently. Oh, well.... as Peter O says, BITE ME... knotheads and kooks...)

Non-Profit Doc To Be Surgeon GeneralJuly 13th, 2009
From a smitten Associated Press:
Obama chooses Ala doctor as next surgeon general
By Lauran Neergaard, AP Medical Writer WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama turned to the Deep South for the next surgeon general, a rural Alabama family physician who made headlines with fierce determination to rebuild her nonprofit medical clinic in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. An administration official said Obama will announce the nomination of Dr. Regina Benjamin later Monday. The official spoke on condition of anonymity so as not to upstage the official announcement. The surgeon general is the people’s health advocate, a bully pulpit position that can be tremendously effective with a forceful personality. Benjamin has that reputation. A decade ago, the New York Times called her "angel in a white coat," a country doctor who made house calls along the impoverished Gulf Coast, paid whatever her patients could scrounge. From those early days she has emerged as a national leader in the call to improve health disparities, pushed by the need in her own fishing community of Bayou La Batre, Ala., and its diverse patient mix — where immigrants from Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos make up a growing part of the population. Her nonprofit clinic was rebuilt by volunteers after being destroyed by Katrina, only to burn down months later. Benjamin later told of her patients’ desperation that she rebuild again, recalling one woman who handed her an envelope with a $7 donation to help. "If she can find $7, I can figure out the rest," Benjamin said last fall as she received a $500,000 MacArthur Foundation "genius grant," money she dedicated to finishing that job. Benjamin became the first black woman and the youngest doctor elected to the American Medical Association’s board. She also received the Nelson Mandela Award for Health and Human Rights in 1998, and Pope Benedict XVI awarded her the distinguished service medal Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice. Her nomination for surgeon general requires Senate confirmation.
A quick glance at Wikipedia helps further explain Mr. Obama’s decision:
Regina Benjamin
Regina Benjamin (born in 1956 in Mobile, Alabama) is an American physician, who runs a nonprofit medical clinic in Bayou La Batre, Alabama, in the United States… Consistent with her strong social conscience, Dr. Benjamin has spent time doing missionary work in Honduras and is on the Board of Physicians for Human Rights. Her interests include environmental issues and eco and adventure travel. Dr. Benjamin’s clinic was destroyed in 2005 by Hurricane Katrina and in 2006 by a fire on New Year’s Day, one day before the scheduled reopening. She made headlines when she rebuilt the clinic a second time.
Ms. Benjamin is black, a victim of Katrina – and an environmentalist! And of course she doesn’t believe doctors should make a profit. What more could anyone possibly want? 28 Comments »
Obama Lied to Pope... Obamacare Will Force Americans to Fund Abortion
President Barack Obama, first lady Michelle Obama and Pope Benedict XVI stand for a photo with members of the United States delegation, Friday, July 10, 2009, at the Vatican. ( AP)
A year ago Obama told Pastor Rick Warren that he wasn't sure at what point a baby gets human rights. It was above above his paygrade. But that was last year. A funny thing happened after the election. Obama suddenly figured it out.
Already this year, Barack Obama has signed several pieces of abortion legislation including funding foreign abortions. He also signed legislation to use taxpayer money to kill embryos in research. And, democrats are pushing legislation that will force healthcare providers to perform abortions even if it violates their moral or religious convictions.
Barack Obama is the most radical pro-abortion and infanticide president in the last 35 years. Barack Obama even voted 4 times to support infanticide during his political career.
But, that didn't stop Barack Obama from promising Pope Benedict last week that he would reduce abortions. But, it doesn't look like President Obama was being honest.
The Obamacare legislation will force Americans to fund abortion. The Susan B. Anthony List reported:
The Biggest battle for the Unborn this year is about to begin! With Congress considering a massive health care reform before their August recess, pro-lifers must continue to insist that President Obama and Congress respect the consciences of millions of Americans and exclude funding for abortion in a new health care program. In his speech to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund in July of 2008, President Obama stated that in his mind "reproductive care is essential care, basic care, so it is at the center, the heart of the [health care] plan that I propose." When asked for clarification later, an Obama spokesman said that reproductive care included abortion." If Health Care reform passes without an express ban on abortions then Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will force the American people to directly pay for abortions for years to come. Please tell your Representatives to ban the funding of abortion. Tell them you don't want your tax dollars to pay for abortions! You can sign their anti-Obamacare petition here. Hat Tip Chisum

For those of you who wish to quibble with me about whether President Obama is Black or multi-racial; I say that the readers of The Free Republic are not confused. Their arguments are not based in multiculturalism, they are based in naked racial stereotypes that have been and continue to be assigned to Blacks."The fact is that Obama shares very little with the average American black person. Obama is more Arab than he is black and more white than Arab. Most posters here know that. In the real world, people both black and white make off the cuff comments. It doesn't make them racist. He knows that but he'd rather help disseminate the erroneous meme that whites fear the black man, miss the good old days of the Klan and congregate on the net. He now needs to visit daily Kos and the Huffington Post and comment on the remarks made about Sarah Palin, Condi Rice and Clarence Thomas.

"These days, it seems that even saying we disagree with this administration’s policies brands us as racist, and there are those who would silence us. We have to be vigilant constantly to be sure that all of our rights and freedoms are protected; otherwise, we will lose them all."
Hate Speech Finds a Home on the Web
"This is only "racist" if you're using Al Sharpton's context. I would say that most FReepers were thoroughly disgusted at the sight of the President's pre-teen daughter dressed like a flower child, which probably caused our enemies to cut loose some guffaws, than actually made racist comments. And no, saying the word "ghetto" doesn't make one a racist. " ' One of the comments on the article: “...Posted By: eatsh*t 10:18PM Jul 13th 2009 Its true what they say; Right wingers are crazier than ever. They have crossed the line of sanity and truth be told should be slowly but surely silenced over the next few years. Hey look, Germany has laws to make sure their right wing zealots cant speak or assemble as a political force so we should do the same with ours. Truth be told these people are getting way out of hand and are becoming dangerous and before we wind up with our own group of Nazi’s to contend with something should be done. And it is. We actually now have a czar that is going to combat right wing hate speech....”' "Did any of you really think you were going to be able to criticize Obama and not be called racist? Really? No you didn’t. So don’t act so surprised or feel the need to defend your speech."

The Sineva carries 10 independently targetable re-entry vehicles instead of four. The new missile has a longer range and a modern control system developed for Makeyev’s Bark SLBM. It can carry four or 10 nuclear warheads, depending on the modification. Each warhead will carry 100 kilotons a piece

Deafening silence from black leaders
While Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton were competing for the most on-camera interviews and vying for preeminence at Michael Jackson's memorial service on the West Coast, Frank Lombard -- a white, homosexual Duke University employee -- was being arrested on the East Coast for allegedly molesting his five-year-old black adopted son.

The Economy Is Even Worse Than You Think
Obama's Weakened Condition
Glenn Beck Blasts Sotomayor Hearing as Being "Like A Cartoon Show" - Video 7/13/09
Sotomayor Attempts to Explain Racist "Wise Latina" Remarks ...Update: Dems Misstate Sotomayor's Horrid Record
Judge Sonia Sotomayor tried to explain her "wise latina' remarks that were caught on tape during the confirmation hearing this morning. Here again is her racist statement from 2001:
“I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life,” Real Clear Politics has the video. Real Clear Politics reported on Judge Sotomayor's attempt to explain her racist "wie latina" remarks:
"No words I have ever spoken or written have received so much attention," Sotomayor began.
Judge Sotomayor says she was telling an audience that she was trying to inspire a group to be "anything they wanted to become" through her own experiences.
"I do not believe that any ethnic, racial or gender group has an advantage in sound judging," Sotomayor explained. "I do believe that every person has an equal opportunity to be a good and wise judge regardless of their background or life experiences," she concluded. Sadly, this doesn't explain why Sotomayor repeatedly referenced "wise woman" in her speeches.
HotAir has a live video stream from the hearings.
Michelle Malkin added this:
Soto re-explains her wise Latina comments: It was a “bad play on words” that “fell flat.”
So bad she repeatedly used it a half-dozen times before friendly audiences.
Spin, lady, spin. Obviously, Sotomayor is not being honest.

UPDATE: Here's more hogwash from Sotomayor this morning, via Republican.Senate.Gov:
JUDGE SONIA SOTOMAYOR: “[T]he Process Of Judging Is A Process Of Keeping An Open Mind. It’s The Process Of Not Coming To A Decision With A Prejudgment Ever Of An Outcome.” (Judge Sonia Sotomayor, Senate Judiciary Committee Confirmation Hearing, 7/14/09)
JUDGE SOTOMAYOR: “There is ‘no objective stance but only a series of perspectives…[N]o neutrality, no escape from choice’…in judging I further accept that our experiences as women will in some way affect our decisions. As aptly stated by Professor Minnow, “th[e] aspiration to impartiality is just an aspiration rather than a description because it may suppress the inevitable existence of a perspective…’” (Women in the Judiciary, Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York. 4/30/99)
JUDGE SOTOMAYOR: “I willingly accept that we who judge must not deny the differences resulting from experience and gender but attempt…continuously to judge when those opinions, sympathies and prejudices are appropriate.” (Women in the Judiciary, 40th National Conference of Law Reviews. 3/17/94) UPDATE 2: Democrats are trying to cover up that Sotomayor is the worst nominee ever to the Supreme Court. Her decisions have been overturned 9 out of 10 times! From the Republican.Senate.Gov website:
Fact Check: Dems Again Misstate Sotomayor’s Reversals By The Supremes
Judge Sotomayor’s Opinions Were Reversed, Vacated, Or Criticized Nine Out Of Ten Times By The U.S. Supreme Court
SEN. HERB KOHL (D-WI): “But In Only Three Out Of Those 230 Plus Cases Have Your Decisions Been Reversed By The Supreme Court.” (Sen. Herb Kohl, Senate Judiciary Committee Confirmation Hearing, 7/14/09)
Seven Of Judge Sotomayor’s Opinions (6 Appellate And 1 District Court) Reversed Outright, Including 3 This Year
1. Ricci v. DeStefano, 530 F.3d 87 (2d Cir. 2008), reversed by Ricci v. DeStefano, No. 07-1428 (June 29, 2009)
2. Johns-Manville Corp. v. Chubb Indemnity Insurance Co., 517 F.3d 52 (2d Cir. 2008)¸ reversed by Travelers Indemnity Co. v. Bailey, 129 S. Ct. 2195 (2009)
3. Riverkeeper, Inc. v. EPA, 475 F.3d 83 (2d Cir. 2007), reversed by Entergy Corp. v. Riverkeeper, Inc., 129 S. Ct. 1498 (2009)
4. Lopez Torres v. N.Y. State Board of Elections, 462 F.3d 161 (2d Cir. 2006), reversed by N.Y. State Board of Elections v. Lopez Torres, 552 U.S. 196 (2008)
5. Swedenburg v. Kelly, 358 F.3d 223 (2d Cir. 2004), reversed by Granholm v. Heald, 544 U.S. 460 (2005)
6. Malesko v. Correctional Services Corp., 229 F.3d 374 (2d Cir. 2000), reversed by Correctional Services Corp. v. Malesko, 534 U.S. 61 (2001)
7. Tasini v. New York Times Co., 972 F. Supp. 804 (S.D.N.Y. 1997), reversed by 206 F.3d 161 (2d Cir. 2000), reversal affirmed by New York Times Co. v. Tasini, 533 U.S. 483 (2001)
One Of Judge Sotomayor’s Opinions Was Vacated
In an eighth case, Merrill Lynch v. Dabit, 547 U.S. 71 (2006), the Supreme Court substantively vacated her opinion, noting that she had ignored two prior Supreme Court decisions, and effectively reversed her decision in Dabit v. Merrill Lynch, 395 F.3d 25 (2d Cir. 2005).
One Of Judge Sotomayor’s Opinions Was Criticized, Saying It “Flies In The Face Of The Statutory Language.”
In a ninth case, Knight v. Commissioner of Internal Revenue, 552 U.S. 181 (2008), the Supreme Court affirmed Judge Sotomayor’s outcome but faulted her for adopting a reading of the relevant tax statute that “flies in the face of the statutory language.” What a trainwreck. Democrats ought to be embarrassed.
Obama’s latest“In Your Face”: “Green Czar” admits he’s a Communist with arrest record
Sarah Palin Giant Slayer: Alaskan Governor Annihilates Obama's Cap & Tax Plan
Sarah Palin annihilates Obama's Cap-&-Tax plan today. After all of their hard work, this one editorial absolutely destroys the hopes of Obama's junk scientists. Every sentence is dripping with truth. The Washington Post reported:
There is no shortage of threats to our economy. America's unemployment rate recently hit its highest mark in more than 25 years and is expected to continue climbing. Worries are widespread that even when the economy finally rebounds, the recovery won't bring jobs. Our nation's debt is unsustainable, and the federal government's reach into the private sector is unprecedented.
Unfortunately, many in the national media would rather focus on the personality-driven political gossip of the day than on the gravity of these challenges. So, at risk of disappointing the chattering class, let me make clear what is foremost on my mind and where my focus will be:
I am deeply concerned about President Obama's cap-and-trade energy plan, and I believe it is an enormous threat to our economy. It would undermine our recovery over the short term and would inflict permanent damage.
American prosperity has always been driven by the steady supply of abundant, affordable energy. Particularly in Alaska, we understand the inherent link between energy and prosperity, energy and opportunity, and energy and security. Consequently, many of us in this huge, energy-rich state recognize that the president's cap-and-trade energy tax would adversely affect every aspect of the U.S. economy...
The Americans hit hardest will be those already struggling to make ends meet. As the president eloquently puts it, their electricity bills will "necessarily skyrocket." So much for not raising taxes on anyone making less than $250,000 a year.
...We have an important choice to make. Do we want to control our energy supply and its environmental impact? Or, do we want to outsource it to China, Russia and Saudi Arabia? Make no mistake: President Obama's plan will result in the latter.
For so many reasons, we can't afford to kill responsible domestic energy production or clobber every American consumer with higher prices.
Can America produce more of its own energy through strategic investments that protect the environment, revive our economy and secure our nation?
Yes, we can. Just not with Barack Obama's energy cap-and-tax plan. Look Out... This will cause liberal heads to explode. And, they thought they got rid of her! Hah!

1970s The Population Bomb … 2009 Global Warming. Settled Science Then and Now?
Zombietime has unearthed some truly loathsome writings that Obama’s new Science Czar, John Holdren, coauthored with Anna and Paul Ehrich (of The Population Bomb fame).
