I for one would love that but in my heart, I don't think it will happen. But if it did, I'd be on cloud nine!! _________________ Pardon me Dick, but opinions posted on Free Dominion are those of the individual posters and are not necessarily the opinion of Free Dominion or its operators.

..and you know I always do but you should see the faces of people when I do it in person in real life. I am either loved or hated and I like it that way, especially with the fairer gender. _________________ Please let me know if I said something that offended you. Well, this entire thread has been a LOL. I didn't actually think there were people capable of speech and/or using the internet who actually believed that Sarah "I don't read books" Palin would actually be the best amongst American citizens to shoulder the responsibility of the Executive Branch.
But hey, I guess we can't all think intelligently about our prospects and options. _________________ Opinions posted on Free Dominion are those of the individual posters and are not necessarily the opinion of Free Dominion or its operators. How's President Hopeychangey working out for you?
So far he has managed to totally what was left of the economy in a matter of months. You won't be laughing when you figure out you will need to work for a living. |

If she is so dumb, and you are so much smarter, why has she been 1,000,000 times more successful then you? She has run a state and you've controlled nothing more then you and your buddies 'secret stash'. It’s a shame your liberal arts degree has you in debt up to your eyeballs and won’t even get you a promotion at Starbuck’s anymore. _________________ Friends don't let friends vote gLiberal.

If you can't see the tremendous character of this woman and wonder why the rest of us do, that says an awful lot more about you than it does us about us.
I find her comments about being able to acheive good outside of elected office very consistent with what I liked about her in the first place. She is and was in it for all the right reasons and while it's a shame to lose someone who has it so right, I have every confidence that she will still contribute to positive change unlike that hopey-maybe-stuff that Obama has offered up. |

It's interesting also that one of her guiding reasons was the growing cost of nuisance lawsuits. In her case she says she and her husband have spent half a million on them ... and that has to be a lot more than the annual salary (I know, they have some assets). So with the extra time, she figures to be able to make a lot more money on writing and speaking projects, as well as TV interviews.
If she becomes the chief spokesperson in the fight against lawfare and political correctness groupthink overload, taking up the same fight as Rush Limbaugh is currently leading, then we have a slight ray of hope amidst the growing darkness in which liberals seem to think that they are the new Stalinists and we are the new kulaks.
And if you don't get my drift, like I keep saying, read the damned book. (GA by AS) ... I am guessing it is one of the few that Sarah has read, and it's worth about a thousand of the other variety. Or perhaps ten thousand. |

Bear a few things in mind... Sarah is the only, sole reason a former Democrat, union member-- wife Miss Emily- got energized over the last election.
For 25 years- indifference...
Sarah makes her speech- the first time, not the formal announcement-- and halfway through it, the formerly indifferent wife literally stands up and shouts,
"I want to vote for that woman!"
I would suggest to you- based on the vast crowds she drew, everywhere she went- that Sarah is the future... and every other Republican mentioned?
They are the past.
Like BobDole! ( not a typo ) and Cap'N Queeg...
Tired, old retreads.
Whatever Sarah ends up doing?
She'll have two supporters...
Deep in the Heart of Dixie...

I believe that she will be doing speaking tours and writing for the next year, and that a lot of what she will be saying will not be explicitly political but will resonate with Joe and Joanne Sixpack, not only the people who voted for her last time but with those who willclimb off the gravy train to the Big Rock Candy Mountain when Lady Sarah makes them see that the train is going toward a chasm where the bridge has collapsed. These are the most important people because they will talk to those still sitting on the train and get them energized.
In the meanwhile she will be interviewed at home and showing how it is possible to manage a household that isnt a lot different from those most of us live or grew up in -- that everybody has her problems and challenges in life and that they can be overcome.
America has spent too much time worshipping people who appear to be living the life they think they want -- and trying to convince themselves that all their problems would be solved if only they had enough money.
Mrs. Palin will spend the next year showing people by example that no matter what problems you have, you can handle them...and that it will take sacrifice and cooperation of the old fashioned kind, that there is no magic bullet, no silver key, and that it does not matter how much money you have -- we all have family problems and we all can dig in there and do something about them and we who try our best are better than the Michael Jacksons and Mel Gibsons and Donald Trumps who use their cash as a shield between them and responsible behaviour and who led their families and their admirers down the garden path to ruin.
God speed the messenger and get that message out. _________________ "I overcame my natural self possssion and started a blithe conversation with this total stranger, an act that in New York is as automatic as blinking but that in Canada is grounds fo summary arrest and censure by Parliament." This is called projection, and I suggest you do a little research into it. You might figure out why the general outcome anticipation skills on this forum are a little less than reliable.
Anyone want to place a bet on Palin ever, EVER winning the presidency? I could use some more easy money. _________________ Opinions posted on Free Dominion are those of the individual posters and are not necessarily the opinion of Free Dominion or its operators.
