Hillary and the "easy button"

Postby bennyf » 03/ 08/ 09 6:00 pm

Did she really think such a stooooopid idea would impress anyone? Is her knowledge and experience so shallow to think this wouldn't backfire on her.

Heck, it doesn't really even work for Office Depot, but to take a fake red button (all sorts of cold war implications there) with the wrong Russian word stenciled on it and make a huge deal about hitting UNDO to undo the last eight years of bush... what a stupid, moronic thing to do.

Perhaps I should find a rewind & recall button so we can get a secretary of state that's not a total fool.

My gosh, she's gonna say something somewhere that will become an international incident.

I was wondering when someone would mention this. Very funny!

Let’s not be too harsh with Hillary. First one must realize that Mrs. Bubba is not in charge of anything and least of all the State department. As much as I dislike and distrust the Clintons neither she nor Bill have any say in the affairs of state. Hillary is a figure head, not unlike Michelle Jean. She was appointed as Secretary of State for no other reason than to placate the right wing/moderates of the Democratic Party. I’m certain if the truth were known she and Bubba were made fully aware of who would be running the state department and making all decisions before they accepted her appointment. The frightening aspect of course is that a stupid idea like this could be initiated from the white house and there’s no one there with the intelligence to pick up on it.

She has put us all in danger. Now, thanks to Hillary The Clinton there are two red buttons sitting on the commie leaders desk.
He will push the missle button, blow us to smithreens and issue a media message:
"OOOPS. I thought that was Hillary's overchage button."
Don't forget- in November write in Ross Perot.

I've always maintained a devilish theory about why so many "suicide" bombers ( I prefer the more accurate & honest "homicide," myself. ) detonate prematurely...

The cretins who supply such infernal devices deliberately mislabel the "arm" and "detonate" switches...

Who is to say it was intentional - in Canada parties say different things in different languages all the time. Hillary is saying to Americans that relations with Russia are being reset, and to Russians that the Americans will continue to allow them to overcharge for their oil.

If the US wanted to intentionally look stupid, then yes, it could be intentional. However, we already know from Hilary's track record, advanced prep and fact checking is not her strong suit.

You know what's scary? Scary is knowing that Hillary Clinton represents the right wing/moderates of the Democratic Party. That's scary.

Sure makes you wonder about the reliability of anything from State that requires translation.
The most effective way to stifle democracy is to transfer decision-making from the public arena to unaccountable institutions: activist judges, human rights tribunals, parliamentary committees, civil service bureaucrats and political party hacks.
