AHRC advises Church to obtain consent to teach the Bible

Documenting free speech attacks by Richard Warman, Warren Kinsella, the Human Rights Commissions and others who would seek to silence conservative discourse in Canada.

Does anyone know if homosexual material is being taught in Ontario schools?

Virgey, Ontario's Minister of Education, Kathleen Wynne, is an open lesbian that lives with her partner...Jane. Whadayathink?

Although Wynne herself, a former public school trustee for Eglinton-Lawrence, has said that her status as a lesbian is not her primary focus as Education Minister, her agreement with the homosexual political agenda is complete and she has been active for years in propagating the “gay” ideology in schools under the heading of “equity.” http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2006/oct/06101107.html[/quote]

In Acts chapter 4, John and Paul answer the question whether we should listen to man over God or God over man. It was directly about free Christian speech.

Thank you Stephen Boissoin for the info. I was not aware the education minister for Ontario was a lesbian. Since I no longer have children in school, I have not kept up with the education system, although I should since I now have grandchildren entering school. At any rate I asked, because I feel I must speak out against these queers who are indoctrinating our children.

Unfortunately, it's not just the public schools. Even the far left, psuedo-Christian/Catholics are into the game of indoctrinating our youth. We need to reach the youth too. Teachers, Pastors, Youth Pastors etc need to be educated about "our side" and teach youth about our beliefs. Truth vindicates itself and we need to address relevant issues of our day in a confident manner.

My advice is we need to be educated about what is going on in our province. Get involved and do what you can to voice opposition.

A tolerance agande is one thing. We all should agree on safety for all people BUT it is going far far beyond tolerance.

Ontario Catholic Teachers Run Far Left Conference Promoting Gay ActivismThe most prominent dissident Catholic academic in the country, former priest Gregory Baum, will be the star attraction at a conference scheduled August 24-26 by the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association (OECTA). The conference features a line-up of speakers and workshops promoting feminism, “eco-theology,” courses in turning students into political agitators and economic ideas from the hard left of the political spectrum.

In my investigation of the information in the link you provided I am appalled that the Ontario Catholic Teachers Union has and is supporting queers as well as supporting the queer Education Minister. I further read about Ontario's premiere, McGuinty, that he made very disparaging remarks about the Pope, and the fact that McGuinty is supposedly a Catholic is appalling. I guess in my apathy I have been delinquent in my duty to help crush these radical ideas and their promoters ( figuratively speaking) since I would never promote physical violence except in self defense of myself or my family.

This raises an interesting question, would Jesus need permission from the AHRC for the Second Coming? I mean, not that He would necessarily have anyone else to judge in Alberta, could be years until he gets around to them.

Quotes by Henry David Thoreau

Any fool can make a rule, and any fool will mind it.

Be true to your work, your word, and your friend.

Must the citizen ever for a moment, or in the least degree, resign his conscience to the legislator? Why has every man a conscience, then? I think that we should be men first, and subjects afterward. It is not desirable to cultivate a respect for the law, so much as for the right. The only obligation which I have a right to assume is to do at any time what I think right.

Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also a prison.

That is a great quote Knox. In his essay "Resistance to Civil Government" he states the following:

"...I ask for, not at once no government, but at once a better government. Let every man make known what kind of government would command his respect, and that will be one step toward obtaining it."

From our Charter of Rights and Freedoms:

Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms:
    a) freedom of conscience and religion;
    b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication;
    c) freedom of peaceful assembly; and
    d) freedom of association.
The Alberta Human Rights Commission is in such blatant violation of our fundamental freedoms that we have a clear case for requesting a court to issue a cease and desist order requiring the AHRC to respect the fundamental rights of Christians in Canada, without exception.

Common law prohibits the state from adopting a religion or otherwise interfering in our freedoms of religion, thought, conscience, belief and expression. No legislature has the constitutional authority to make laws or regulations respecting religion or the expression thereof.

Ralph Roman's interpretations of the Alberta Human Rights, Citizenship and Multiculturalism Act is the chilling dogma of a police state official drunk on assumed power.

Mr Roman does not seem to know the law his agancy administers:

<center>Code of Conduct</center>

Discrimination re publications, notices

3(1) No person shall publish, issue or display or cause to be published, issued or displayed before the public any statement, publication, notice, sign, symbol, emblem or other representation that
    (a) indicates discrimination or an intention to discriminate against a person or a class of persons, or
    (b) is likely to expose a person or a class of persons to hatred or contempt
because of the race, religious beliefs, colour, gender, physical disability, mental disability, age, ancestry, place of origin, marital status, source of income or family status of that person or class of persons.

(2) Nothing in this section shall be deemed to interfere with the free expression of opinion on any subject.

(3) Subsection (1) does not apply to
    (a) the display of a notice, sign, symbol, emblem or other representation displayed to identify facilities customarily used by one gender,
    (b) the display or publication by or on behalf of an organization that
      (i) is composed exclusively or primarily of persons having the same political or religious beliefs, ancestry or place of origin, and
(ii) is not operated for private profit,
of a statement, publication, notice, sign, symbol, emblem or other representation indicating a purpose or membership qualification of the organization, or
    (c) the display or publication of a form of application or an advertisement that may be used, circulated or published pursuant to section 8(2),
if the statement, publication, notice, sign, symbol, emblem or other representation is not derogatory, offensive or otherwise improper.

I recommend that Mr. Roman be enrolled in a remedial reading class and that on graduation, he be placed in a position that does not require interpretation of any law, statute or regulation.

The concept of applying for a license to discuss the Bible, in a Church, is so repulsive I that feel I need a long shower after reading this thread.
The most effective way to stifle democracy is to transfer decision-making from the public arena to unaccountable institutions: activist judges, human rights tribunals, parliamentary committees, civil service bureaucrats and political party hacks.

I like how I can be offended by chrc audits of canadas largest 600 companies to make sure they don't hire too many white males and that isn't bothersome to them. They don't care because I'm a lesser citizen.

People can say ethnic groups that comit up to 12 times as many crimes as me need to get 12th the sentence as me based on race and that isn't hate.

Then how can it be that the BC government is mandating the gay indoctrination class for every student in the province, whether the student is attending public or private school or being home schooled?

Government has clearly overstepped its bounds here and this mandate by the government to enforce indoctrination by gays is an infringement of the rights of all individuals who oppose such indoctrination based on their cultural or religious views.

I won't even go into the fact that two gay teachers had the exclusive opportunity to review and alter the entire curriculum to input their opinion.

The opinion of gays has no historical value, nor is it historically documented that a gay contributed much of anything to history based on their sexual orientation. The gays are making history fit their agenda with the blessing of the current BC government.

Gays were persecuted during the 3rd Reich but so were all other "outcast" including communists, Christians, Gypsies, mentally retarded and so on. Hitler was determined to purify the nation and beyond and his plan was to eradicate all political opposition and all individuals which the Nazis deemed to be not worthy of life.

That is about the only historical account of gays and persecution against gays.

Let us include the fact that gays were visible and predominant within the Nazi Party and institutional in promoting Nazi ideology and involved also in the killings of the unwanted.

What makes a gay? Nothing in particular. They can be out on parade wagons showing the world how perverted they like to be and how proud they are to be so perverted. Others stand in the crowds or don't even bother because it disgusts them.

So why all this fuss about gays and gayness? Is it really that important to teach children about sexual orientations when kids are failing in simple English and Math?

There is nothing special about their sexual orientation. Their choice and they live with it as long as they CHOOSE to. That's one man's opinion. Just as much as somebody else would argue that gays are made that way and can't change. Who cares?

It matters to me and my wife that our kids don't get indoctrinated by gays or a teacher complying with the law to educate a gay curriculum.

Is there no respect for our feelings and our objections?

If the gays feel that their input is so important than they should feel free to raise funds and open gay schools. Let's see how popular they would be if they had to spell out in detail to the school shoppers what their curriculum really entails. They probably guarantee that the kids would come out of that school as happy and gay as can be and darn proud of it too. Fine, whatever. Just don't bother me or my kids with the crap.

Canada doesn't have homosexual private schools....yet...but we do have CAMP FYREFLY http://www.fyrefly.ualberta.ca/

Camp fYrefly is Canada's largest leadership retreat for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified, two-spirited, queer, and allied (LGBTTQ&A) youth. The camp, which was founded in 2004 by Dr. André P. Grace and Mr. Kristopher Wells, is designed to help youth develop the leadership skills and resiliency necessary for them to become change agents in their schools, families, and communities.

All of the camp workshops and guest speakers help youth to develop their very own fYrefly fuel (weeeee fyrefly fuel..how gay) designed to help them keep their inner light shining bright during dark times.

Camp fYrefly participants vow to help fight against discrimination, prejudice, and oppression in all of its many forms, and to help others in their time of greatest need.

I would bet that they're allowed to repeat what they learned while attending this camp but Christian...nope..they are advised by the AHRC to sign a contract agreeing to keep quiet.

As you can see in this huge picture (sorry it is from their site) I guess they role play using cross dressing Ken and Barbie dolls. I have no proof for this yet, but I bet a portion of our tax dollars fund this garbage.

Stephen,

Do you think the recent Supreme Court decision re: Rafe Mair helps or hurts you ie. is it really pro-free speech or just anti-Christian?
