Indeed...

I wasn't kidding when I mentioned, a while back "dig under the floorboards of your car..."

A few years ago me & Miss Emily were so strapped for cash that one grocery-shopping day, I didn't have enough money to buy much of anything... I started rummaging under the floormats of the cars and trucks, and damned if I didn't find about $40 worth of quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies...

Every little bit helps.

If each one of the 9523 members here kicked in a buck, that $5,000 retainer would be covered...

Come on, people- you can do better... if you use this board, you ought to support it, and defend it.

And quite aside from all those abstract considerations of Free Speech, Justice, Fairness, and Doing What Is Right?

If Free Dominion ( and Mark, and Connie ) are suppressed and silenced and brought to ruin, just remember this-

You are next...

M'am, I greatly appreciate the fact that as a new member ( #9369 ), you have supported this board with more than mere words ( talk is very cheap, isn't it? ), and you are correct- it's a bit like a family. Naturally, there are some bungholes ( consult my "ignore" list for details... ) but by and large, there are a lot of good people here.

I am pleased to see that the retainer has been met, but let us all remember, the battle has just been joined- there are a lot of hard miles ahead...

I'd be happy to donate $100, I'd give more but I owe the goberment some serious coin.

Connie or whomever please PM me where I mail the cheque to and to whom please.

I could also donate a stunning carving by a local artist for auction if you like, all cost for mailing said item will be incurred by moi.

The carving is of a puffin, made out of an old wooden golf club.

Red, I know you got my PM with the mailing address, but let me state, for the

public record, how much I, as member #310, appreciate it.

You are #8830-- once again, a newer member comes through, when so many others

have been unheard from.

And I do know that some simply cannot contribute money-- we've all been there,

where there just isn't a spare dime to be had- the point is, to offer some

kind of support
( besides empty rhetoric ) to a board you use, and

frequent.

Thank you...
