Littleharbour started a thread asking for people to collect evidence of 'hate speech' from leftwing websites and post them here:

If you could come up with lots of examples, that would be awesome. We might need this evidence in our defense.

Also, someone mentioned a couple of days ago that there was a CHRC complaint against Rabble for the pope cartoon, but it was dropped. All information we can get about that case would be helpful, too.

I hope Canadians are somewhat upset that they are paying for this waste. Your tax dollars that could have been used for a family event is paying for this nonsense instead.

One thing that bothers me is that it took a year to decide whether to progress this complaint. As a starter, it is unfair to the respondent to be asked to deal with issues this old. The CHRC has introduced something relatively new - a committee to assess complaints. Given the time they took I have a suspicion that they feel that the complaint has merit and may approach it from that angle. Of course, they also had the option not to progress it but didn't.

For the umpteenth time I read Bill's flyer. There is no way that a reasonable person could call that "hate" speech. It's factual and he uses current information and events to make his case. He does not threaten or advocate violence. In no way can it be construed as creating "contempt or hatred" towards Muslims. He is merely reciting facts.

All of this makes me wonder if the CHRC wants to make a test case out of this.

Of course they want to make a test case. They`were sitting on the complaint waiting for the right set of circumstances and case law to evolve in other "Human Rights" jurisdictions.

It is also easy to make precedence when the HRC acts as police, prosecuter and judge.

Do you remember reading something about businesses that are fined by government can use that expense as a deduction at tax time???????
