The MAXIMUM recommended intake for individuals is I think around 1500 mg of sodium a day. That one meal is enough for 2 days…

Charles, in my recent job 2 capacity I'm noticing things I never paid attention to before. Those wind about express waiting lines walled with candy and confections? EVERYONE indulges. Everyone. I'm stunned by the fat people with fat kids buying 4 and 5 packs of Coffee Crisps or Kit Kats 6 at a time - up to 30 candy bars on one trip to the store. Same with gum. Same with sugary drinks and "sport" drinks and $3. tins of "energy" drinks that amount to a can of sugar and caffeine for 300% more than a diet soda or a bottled water.

No coincidence I'm also noticing the vast number of people not all that old in electric scooter cars with baskets, fat kids screaming away behind them in tow. Pathetic. White trash America has arrived in Canada.

Unfortunately you are correct - and worse yet, in Canada we pay for others mistakes through the high tax systems, and in the United States through the high private medical insurance costs. These lazy farts are killing our country. And one other thing, am I the only guy who rides a bicycle anymore? Or who goes out for a walk?

Wow! Pictures don't lie! From on-line reports, I'm seeing literally dozens of almost entirely old white folk supporting a restaurant that would jail homosexuals. As a Liberal, I am feeling so scared right now! And remember, gay people, if you're ever confronted by Chickinistas, you may not be able to hide, but you sure can run, because I doubt any of these people can crack 3 MPH even with the aid of an atomic walker. Except the gal in the middle and lets face it I doubt she's good navigating sharp corners.

I presume you consume alcohol in which case you are a hypocrite as fast food does not cause death from impaired driving accidents...or the higher rates of cancers associated with alcohol. Plus the kool aid you drink has seriously impaired your ability to think.

Saying alcohol consumption causes vehicular deaths makes as much sense as saying that guns kill people. Any moron that drives drunk deserves to be strung up by his or her own guts and left to rot in the sun. My point had nothing to do with alcohol, it's all about fast food, don't try to say it's healthy, it's not. As for the higher rates of cancers cause by alcohol, I could just as soon say that one would die from high blood pressure or a stroke caused by such high levels of sodium. Fast food isn't healthy.

As for Chick-Fil-A's stance, good for them, they are free to do as they choose, so are the Jim Henson people, they are free as well. Don't complain about their decision, go do something about it if you really disagree that much. If you want to start a toy company that would partner with fast food chains to sell them toys for them to resell, then give the profits to organizations dedicated to ending homosexuality, then go do it.

The only thing I see that's wrong in the story is the reason that Chick-Fil-A gave for why the toys were pulled.

So go drink some more lefturd kool aid and when you stop guzzling alcohol come back and pontificate about fast food instead of being the hypocrite you are.

Chick-Fil-A is a private corporation, no shareholders. Closed on Sunday. They do not discriminate in their hiring. They will serve anyone. Here was the scene at my local one today:

The drive thru ran around the bulding twice and it took 40 minutes once placed, for you receive your order.
Later in the day, the fire marshall limited access to the rated number of people. Then the lineup was 40 minutes outside and your order was filled in minutes when you got in.

Feel free to point out at which point during this discussion that I said I drink alcohol. I simply said that alcohol doesn't kill people, drunk drivers do, same goes for guns. In both cases, people are responsible for their actions.
