Dear friends of Hamilton-Wentworth Family Action Council and PACE:
We wish to invite you to a special meeting on Monday, March 31st/03 at 7:30 p.m. It will be held at King’s View Community Church, 1267 Paramount Drive, Stoney Creek.
We will have as our guest, Mr. Brian Rushfeldt, Founding Executive Director of Canada Family Action Coalition, based in Calgary, AB. Brian brings to CFAC a broad perspective from his background as Executive Administrator, Counselor, Bible College Dean, Trainer, and Air Traffic Controller. As the Executive Leader of CFAC, Brian manages organizational development, media relations, promotion, citizen action campaigns and general operations. With a deep passion for Canada, Brian is committed to working towards meaningful change.
Brian will bring to us information regarding the bills presently before the government that threaten Religious Freedom, which will include an update on marriage and Bill C250 as well as further cases of discrimination against Christians.
We will also hear from HWFAC President Phil Lees on our plans to hold Christian Citizen Seminars throughout the Hamilton area. This Seminar is produced by Focus on the Family, and is presented by their volunteer staff in the Toronto area.
Phil will also speak on the Declaration of Spiritual Values document, now in the hands of several pastors, and the Superintendent of the Hamilton Board of Education for their comments. This is an excellent tool for parents to use when they desire to approach their children’s schools to discuss their family’s faith, and areas of potential conflict with regard to teaching and materials at the school.
Director Jim Enos will bring us up to date on the latest version of the Sex Education curriculum (called Healthy Living curriculum), which underwent further changes because of the pressure put upon the Board by parents and our Council.
Finally, Phil will bring us up-to-date on our efforts to bring the PACE program in to Hamilton’s public education system.
Please make plans to come out. Our Spring newsletter will be available that evening. We’d love to see you! And let your friends and pastors know about the meeting as well. Ask that an announcement go into the church bulletin. We plan on wrapping the meeting up by 8:45 p.m.
We will also be taking up a collection to put towards Mr. Rushfeldt’s expenses in coming out to speak with us.

God’s blessings on every one! Thank you for your support, and your efforts
to stand up for righteousness where the Lord has placed you.
