These idiots want our politicians to be so paranoid that they will google citizens before shaking their hand or posing for a picture with them. I find that disgusting.

Kudos to Rob Ford for having the wisdom and foresight to not have any picture taken with an ARA or ARC member!

That would be just cause for alarm.

An apparent victim of this guilt by association crap, Abousfian Abdelrazik, in a 2009 letter to the Globe and Mail said

I had not wanted to invite scrutiny of those who paid me, knowing where guilt by association can lead.

The people who thought it was terrible that it happened to Mr. Abdelrazik (and so they should) are the same people trying to use guilt by association to smear Mayor Ford.

Frankly, I would take any of these denials by so-called innocents with a big grain of salt as there is an obvious potential for duplicity based on the ideology/theology, but at the same time, I could imagine one or two cases being genuine.

Saying that Omar Khadr is "just" a child soldier caught up in events beyond his control, for example, is stretching things quite a bit; this is like saying that Justin Bieber is an entertainer by mere chance and could just as easily be a normal teenager living at home.

I don't know what to believe about Maher Arar or this Abdelrazik guy, but would be wary of instant acquittals on their own witness plus a couple of far-left bloggers. Trojan horse comes to mind. Still, innocent until proven guilty and the government has not seen fit to bring charges against them in Canada. Khadr would annoy me a lot less if he would stop pretending to be the model citizen and apologize for his action in joining what amounts to a terrorist organization. Instead he is quite happy to allow his surrogates to present him as though he were a better citizen of Canada than most of us, me for sure (I bet he never gets blacklisted by PSAC).

Alleged neo-Nazi pictured with Ford speaks out

TORONTO — An alleged neo-Nazi musician who posed for a picture with Toronto Mayor Rob Ford says he wants his name cleared.

Jon Latvis was visiting Toronto from Latvia and posed for a picture with Ford in January at the New Year's Levee at city hall. He's wearing a uniform in the photograph.

Warren Kinsella, a blogger who often writes for the Toronto Sun, posted the picture to his blog last week and alleged Latvis is a neo-Nazi musician who played guitar for Rahowa, a white supremacist rock band.

"I'm not a racist, I'm not a neo-Nazi and I'm not an anti-Semite," Latvis said Tuesday from Latvia, adding he's no longer in the band.

Latvis said he only played with the band a few times in a studio, "not knowing what their politics were," after being asked for the favour in a bar.

The only person who has ANY CLUE who this guy is/was is Warren Kinsella. He has to keep coming out and revealing more juicy details because nobody knows or cares about some stupid "Nazi" band from the nineties. It wasn't Ford who was calling this guy by his first name and reminiscing about the last time he saw him. Ford didn't even know his real name.

This dog won't hunt, and Kinsella is just making himself look like even more of a weenie than he usually does.

We found this and a couple of other photos last night.
Sent them to a few friends to get some confirmation that this was who we thought it was.
Evidently, at least one of those friends sent this picture to someone who sent it to someone else (letting the cat out of the bag so to speak), and we were scooped as a result.
