We have had $671 in donations ranging from $1 - $49.
The average for donations in that range is $23.

Every $5 or $10 helps.

Without those 'small' donations, we would still be well under the $8,000 mark.

I don't think Voice of the Kingfisher is a single donation from one person.

I am certainly not making light of smaller amounts as I am very much aware of the widow's mite!

Another 'Blast from the Past' from FreeDominion archives, showing the dedication of the Fourniers of FreeDominion, to holding our government accountable for attacks on freedom of speech, and the behaviour of the government agency charged with 'hate speech' investigations.

Tomorrow marks 5 years since July 18, 2007 , the date that Connie and Mark Fournier were first notified of the CHRC/Gentes 'hate speech' Complaint against FreeDominion.

In return, Connie and Mark filed an 'Access to Information' request with the CHRC, which remained unanswered by November 10, 2008, prompting the Fourniers to travel from Kingston to Ottawa, and visit the CHRC office.
The following day, Connie posted this thread on FreeDominion :
The CHRC is a frightening place! Ground zero report.
Connie Fournier wrote:Yesterday Mark and I drove all the way to Ottawa to take some paperwork to the CHRC. They have been stonewalling us since April on our Access to Information request for the files on Free Dominion and I had a document that I wanted to give them in person that would clear the way for them to fulfill our request.

We got to the building on 344 Slater St. and took the elevator to the 8th floor.

When we walked in, we did not encounter a receptionist like we expected. There was a security guard behind glass, instead. When I wanted to hand him the letter with my case number on it, I had to slip it through a little slot in the glass.

He directed us to sit in two chairs across from his station and he disappeared into the back. He came back out in a couple of minutes and told us that he had given the letter to someone who would pass it along until they found someone who could "give us an answer". I thought that was rather strange since I had already said that I just wanted to talk to Heather Throop and give her a document.

As we were waiting, we heard a huge commotion in the outside hall, which had been utterly deserted. A guy came barrelling down the hall with a cart loaded with files, grabbed an elevator, and disappeared. I turned to Mark and whispered, "There go our files".

A few moments later, a young, timid-looking girl came out and handed something to the security guard, whispered something to him, and then retreated quickly from our sight. I honestly thought the poor girl suspected we were wired with bombs!

The security guard then told us that Heather Throop wasn't in, but asked if we would like to talk to Deborah Cansick. I said that that would be fine because I have talked to her by email several times.

Mark and I stood waiting as the security guard walked out the back door of his booth and we prepared to go in to see Deborah Cansick.

To my utter astonishment, he, instead, picked up a phone in the waiting room, dialed a number, and handed it to me. I wasn't even allowed to see Deborah Cansick...I had to speak to her on a phone while she hid in another room!!

Well, to make a long story short, Cansick told me there was no point in giving her the paperwork I brought because they weren't planning on fulfilling my request.

I hung up the phone, took my letter back through the little hole in the window, and Mark and I left the office for the elevator. As we were waiting, an older woman and a guy with a bunch of earphones attached to him came and waited with us and got on the elevator as we rode down. I said to Mark later that it seemed like they appeared out of nowhere to make sure we actually left the building!

Both Mark and I were spooked by our experience at the CHRC. It was unlike any other government office we have ever seen. Talk about "faceless bureaucracy"!
It is absolutely frightening that these people, who spend their days hidden behind a security guard and bulletproof glass, have the power to utterly destroy the lives of Canadians, and they don't even have to look their victims in the eyes.

Connie, The Pins are great. Platinum eh? Cheque in the mail today.

I suspect that the total will be exceeded and if someone knows the guy in TO who did the stuff for that elderly school monitor in the USA (raised about $500,000) - he might want to also get his talents re-energized.

Glad to see the fund-raising continues to go well.

I had a chat with Connie (by e-mail) and apologized for some comments made on the forum, one of which concerned forum financing -- this was out of context and I was thinking of certain locations that have substantial advertising and seem to be making a good income from that. I was not directing these remarks to FD in particular and have no concerns about forum finances. Elsewhere on the internet, I suspect the day is coming where members posting valuable content may seek ways of being reimbursed for their time and effort. But the best solution to that is to withdraw from those forums and place your work behind a toll-gate. This would apply especially to people in my situation of being blacklisted and unable to earn an income (or at least finding more hurdles to jump over) in the rest of the world (outside the internet). I've recently found that the long arm of blacklisting can extend into the internet too, and that troubles me. But I want to stress (after the previous experience) that I am talking about situations off-forum.

Of course I continue to feel somewhat disturbed by the situation that I face, in terms of complex legal challenges and a lack of resources to fight them. The Fourniers have been unbelievably generous with their support, and there are times when I rather wish they were not so generous because that might allow me to fire back at the lawfare crowd with a more concise and terminating sort of verbal response to their East German style campaigns, perhaps in German although I don't speak much (and what I do is mostly musical, as you would suspect). However, like the Fourniers, I have a strong belief that God provides what we need (with the possible exception of blacklisting removal, but that might require an entirely new human-divine covenant that we are at least days away from starting, if not months, years or centuries).

I don't harbour animosities towards any FD posters but I think I will confine most of my active posting to the areas that I find most compelling, international politics and climate change (fraud). Whenever I start thinking about Canadian political issues, my head hurts and I think that's best left to those who have a clue -- I have proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that I have no clue about Canadian politics and belong there about as much as an elephant belongs in an aquarium. At times, that metaphor seems to apply to the entire business of living in Canada, but whatchagonnado? Other countries don't really want poor old immigrants any more than we do.

So, I send you fraternal greetings and may run into you in the darker corners of the forum where people talk of such things as the fate of the world and the end of the ice-caps, or vice versa. Just be glad you're not in my situation (or pray for those who are, a few around here face legal challenges in another case), and together we'll try to push back the day where you would find yourself sucked into the legal vortex. Perhaps we can even turn that dark force back against those who sent it our way. There is a disturbance in the force.
