Terrifying Ekos poll: NDP almost in lead

An NDP federal government would be a nightmare. Mulclair is the most electable and he looks set to win. The Tories better get the attack ads going NOW! They need to cut the per vote subsidy now too.

Hey, aren't you the dude that has been supporting Toews?
Your overall argument is:
"The US states do not fund abortions. Canada's provinces do fund abortions; therefore Canada is bad and, gosh, I can use the term "abortuaries" with a sneer."

Anyone believing these "poll" numbers is almost certainly dropping acid.

If relaxing means I might live long enough to see the NDP come to power, then maybe I don't want to.

I guess my attempt at humour did not work.

Oh, they won't have ALL the power. They'll have a minority. With Bob Rae and Elizabeth May making up the balance. So relax. Everything is going to be just fine. With the CPC pushing LPC legislation now anyways, you'll hardly notice any difference. ;)

The CPC would probably be doing better if they'd stop wasting money and stop wasting time and political capital on SOPA clones and warrantless subscriber lookups and stop insulting / pissing off thier base and START DOING THE THINGS THEY WERE ELECTED TO DO.

I didn't vote this past election. Not after Mr. Harper effectively pushed every practicing Christian in Canada out of the party. My local CPC candidate is fond of killing babies and teaching nine-year-olds the joys of anal sex and various other lefty recreational activities, and his campaign web site was one long boast about all the money he's managed to suck out of the federal government and misspend in his riding. I didn't renew my membership. I didn't volunteer, and in the absence of a decent candidate, I didn't vote. I know I wasn't the only one.

If refusing to hold our noses for these clowns gets us the NDP, so be it. The only difference between them and the CPC is not whether they'll run the place into the ground, but how fast, and who will make money doing it.

There you go again....grandstanding on the imperfection of the a the most conservative Conservative Party we've had in our lifetime.
"The perfect is the enemy of the good". If you don't support your candidate, then support someone else's or vote for some other more conservative candidate. Make your voice within the party heard, or else the leftward drift will continue because those are the opportunistic voices that remain.

I'm not seeing a most conservative Conservative Party. Not fiscally. Certainly not socially. Going for the squishy Socialist center is how Hudak got nominated and lost to McGuinty, where another Harris would have won. The Liberals could very well rebuild and get back in quickly in another election or two. Any why not? It's not like there's any substantive difference.

I know a lot of Conservatives will disagree, but there you go. If everyone agreed, this place would get very dull very quickly.

Besides... this is Free Dominion. Failing to push and prod the CPC as far away from Socialism as possible would be a dereliction of duty.

The OPCP is beyond redemption. They HATE genuine conservatives at least as much, and likely a good deal more than the NDP do.

Hudak is a fool who is in WAY over his head as it is now, invisible leader of the opposition.

"unterrible" is populated by mental midgets and assorted moreons like the fracaPHONIES who went dipper last federal election. That means unterrible is a basket case as well and should look to joining kweebec.
Please let me know if I said something that offended you. I may want to offend you again sometime.

It is strange.
A lifetime of politics, my first big political event was John Diefenbaker at the Kingston Memorial center when I was in grade 10, leaves me a sceptic.
Since that time No party has failed my expectation- the elected member will always do what he is told.
The Ottawa conservatives have taken it to a new level- the members are told they can't talk.
...I miss the dust-ups caused by members like Ms Gallant speaking up.
Don't forget- in November write in Ross Perot.
