My double-standard alarm goes off with this one. What if Jack Layton was exposed doing the same thing?

I think many would feel the same way. This is a nothing story. He was warned what he did could potentially be dangerous, apologized, and moved on. If he continues this behaviour, then that is another story.

This is a tough one. I've had such "flirty" playful working relationships where no harm was done and all parties were married. It was simply the comfort level of communication arrived at, even in the company of spouses at social gatherings with no harm done. I would never violate my vows or partner trust. It was simply an arrived at level of communication that was comfortable and got the work done where I may not even have been wildly attracted to them or vise versa. Some of these things get out of hand in the media.

Hailey will be along shortly to clarify for all.

I don't see it as newsworthy to be honest.

As a spouse I would see it as a violation of vows and a violation of my trust and it would not be welcomed or permitted. Anyone who does this is a bad spouse.

As an employer I'd probably think there was a better use of time and resources and it was unprofessional.

I wouldn't not vote for someone over this though and I'll not understand how it's newsworthy.

It varies from person to person and situation to situation- that first wife of mine was a shameless flirt. Anyplace, anytime she saw a man she liked, even a stranger, she'd roll over to him, throw an arm around him and start chatting him up. But it was playful, not serious.

Miss Emily? I don't think she could flirt if her life had depended on it.

The guy got horny over her, big freaking deal! No nude pictures or anything of the sort.

He apologized, end of story!

how do you know there are no pictures??

that is the oldest trick in the spy book, get an attractive woman to get a man into a compromising position, then blackmail him

and Bourque is reporting this morn that his contact with this woman may have actually caused a problem, go take a look

this guy should RESIGN today, he is a disgrace

As a spouse I would see it as a violation of vows and a violation of my trust

as a proud Canadian I see it as a violation my trust

China is our enemy, they constantly steal our trademarks, they constantly violate trade laws to destroy our manufacturing, they refuse to let their currency float, they STOLE an American AWACS plane and reversed engineered it, they STOLE information from the helicoptor that crashed in the Bin Laden raid, they constantly threaten our allies in Taiwan, they support North Korea

China is our enemy and nobody in our government should be sleeping with our enemy ... PERIOD!

this has nothing to do with party politics, this is national security

I bet Harper pushes him out... I expect he will suddenly need to "spend more time with family" or some other lame excuse

Disney, through one of their subsidiaries, copyrighted "lower than snake shit" a few months ago.

...and you just gotta meet me at some point in your miserable life face to face so I can really tell you what I think of you without being diplomatic.

And for you BB, if I was going to use that snakeshit line, I would insert my original comment of lower than snakeshit from a serpent with chronic diahrhea.
