Always a interesting babble... this "so-cons appear to want to control others" when in fact it is your politics, the anti God right and left that DOES in fact control our lives from birth to death.

Yea so-cons are such busybodies wanting to have the murder of babies ended. :shake:

They are all corrupt the CPC, the LPC, the NDP, the Bloc.... wake up and understand you are just supporting more of the same corrupt greed and lust for power from any of the mainstream parties.

The CHP ran a small slate of candidates, there was no CHP candidate in my riding, many like myself spoiled their ballots last election or did not vote. Harper picked up all he is ever going to get from the center left and alienating more and more conservatives on lots of issues including so-cons like myself gets him where? A perpetual minority is where.

Christian Heritage 2006 - 45 candidates 28,152
Christian Heritage 2008 - 59 candidates 26,475 14 more candidate 1,677 less votes.

The way Liberal support is tanking, - who knows what ridings might now be winable.

I just find it difficult to accept that some born again Christians will support a politician who believes in abortion and same sex marriage. Born again Christians, some of them who speak in tongues and wiggle on the floor, don't try to do a darn thing politically to change anything.

I'm not exactly a practicing Christian anymore, certainly don't currently attend church that is, but I always thought born again evangelical Christians were suppose to live the life and I guess they don't anymore.

You'll have to excuse my speaking in tongues and wiggle on the floor sarcasm bit....it was those kind of people that ultimately drove me away from church.

Amen, don't vote for any of the "mainline" parties and give them legitimacy to further stab you in the back, not to mention further neglect the right to life as enshrined in the Constitution.

How do you know that they are Christians? Can you prove that they are Christians?

Would you say that no one is forcing anyone into paying for other people's abortions through taxation?

According to this link, “In Canada, almost all abortions are paid for by taxpayers. In British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Newfoundland, abortion is paid for under the publicly funded system whether it is performed in a hospital or private clinic. In New Brunswick, hospital abortions are paid for by taxpayers but private clinic abortions are not. No abortions are performed in Prince Edward Island. The province does cover abortions performed elsewhere if they have been declared by a doctor to be medically necessary and have been pre-authorized and approved.”

Would you say conscientious objectors and pacifists are not being forced to pay for defense and wars through taxation?

I would think that a person who claims he is a born again Christian is an attending member of a evangelical church....is one.

You or I may judge them as not being very Christian or some of their actions etc....but the people I wrote about earlier today who vote liberal and NDP are actual practicing evangelical Christians. I don't think I can publish their names and addresses for you to go and visit them.

Nonsense. Killing some of the citizenry to the advantage of others is not civilized. It has nothing to do with religious particularity. Unless you would also condemn Christian and Jewish involvement in the civil rights movement of the 50s, etc.

Is defense wrong? Are wars wrong? Should people be forced, through taxation, to pay for that which is wrong and none of their doing?

It is not necessary, for you to publish their names and addresses and for me to go and visit them, to explain how you think you know that they are Christians and how you think you have proven to yourself that they are Christians.

Someone, who merely claims to be a born again Christian and is an attending member of a evangelical church, is not necessarily a Christian.

Do you disagree with Matthew 7:14-20, Acts 20:29-30, and 2 Peter 2:1?

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” (Matthew 7:14-20)

“For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.” (Acts 20:29-30)

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.” (2 Peter 2:1)

I know and understand that dpwozney.

But let me try and tell those people they are not real Christians because they vote NDP and liberal. I would be laughed in my face and I'm also quite sure there's a few on FD who would do the same.

Who claims that voting NDP and liberal makes someone not a “real Christian”?

Why would voting NDP and liberal make someone not a “real Christian”?
