absolute BS There are sufficent laws on the books currently to assustant the police in curtailing the indiividual you described.

There is another motive for these bills and the "save the children" is an easy way to hood wink the people

From Stats Canada:

Police also reported about 2,600 sex offences against children, including the offences of sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, sexual exploitation and luring a child via a computer. In addition, just under 1,600 incidents of child pornography were reported by police, a 13% increase from 2008.2 These figures likely under-estimate the actual number of sex offences involving children.

This is a serious and growing problem and the current tools are not adequate to deal with it.

That is your opinion and it just happens to mimic the police state mentality of the CPC.

There are more than enough laws on the books to tackle the situation. If it was a serious problem like they are suggesting, then they would take all those RCMP and other police officers from their duties as government reveneurs and focus them on this task.

But for some odd reason, they do not.

Now I am not suggesting that this type of crime is not horrible. Any body caught and convicted of such crimes should never see the world outside of prison.

I am just tired of the police and politicians crying "it is for the children". If it was they would not stop at anything to stop it.

Just look at the fight to raise the age of consent. All those politicians and police calling for this law fought the raising of the age of consent. Their reason to oppose it, "it is for the children"

Their motivation for this bill has nothing to do with the children, in a few years it will be used against the people in general

I agree 100%. Enforcement problems almost always stem from unqualified or careless people who fail to properly follow existing laws.
