Scandal engulfs the Wildrose Party

Provinces can reclaim constitutional provincial jurisdiction
within confederation, without permission of Ottawa.

Ralph Klein did not groom a successor but expected Jim Dinning would simply take over. The PCs would be in better shape if either Morton or him were leader today. Stelmach has proven to have no more leadership mettle and connection to the people of Alberta than his opponent Kevin Taft who leads the Liberal Party. And Stelmach's policies so far have been to increase government spending, kick oilsand in the faces of other premiers and propose banning cellphones while driving.

Membership in any political party is usually of a short duration. When the political party becomes a personality cult like the religion of its leader, it is even shorter.

I don't hold Ted Morton's Catholisim against him. He was likely railroaded into it as a child like most were. In the end, I saw zero reference to his personal faith at a half dozen campaign receptions, just as I could say of a great many other politicians in Alberta.

Besides, the topic is about theft and violation of trusted access to private information. Had I actually been a member of the AA I would be royally ticked to suddenly hear from a surprise group who know my address, my cell number and my credit card number. These clowns are dead in the water with this one act - proving they just don't get it.

I had naturally assumed Ted Morton was an evangelical Protestant. I guess he actually doesn't talk about his faith as much as the left-wing asserts he does! Ted was my first choice on BOTH ballots in the PC leadership race. And I took care to pay for my PC membership, in order to participate in the vote, with a cheque rather than credit card #.

Who was talking about Ted Morton?
The person in question is PH.

The reason Randy got back in the picture is PH can't run anything.

The vitrol being shown by the chosen left in the AA demenstrates the cult that exists in the AA.
"Plunderers of the world, when nothing remains of the lands to which they have laid waste by indiscriminate thievery, they search out across the seas. The wealth of another excites their greed, and its poverty their lust of power. Nothing from the rising to the setting of the sun can satiate them. They alone are as compelled to attack the poor as they are the wealthy. Robbery, rape, and slaughter they falsely call empire; and where they create a desolate waste, they call it peace."

Ah... so it is about Mormonism. That explains a lot right there... you are one of those people who read Wikipedia and actually believe it....

Do you have any clue what percentage of our members are Mormon?
What about the provincial board?
Do you know my religion? How about C.Morgan's?....

Beyond that what does it matter? This issue is one of ethics and intregrity; last time I checked, one does not need to be religious to possess those qualities.

The reason Randy got back in the picture is PH can't run anything.

You do realize Randy is the President, not Leader?
Randy stepped up to the plate when Mr. Murdoch was unable to stay on as president....

You are hilarious.... why didn't you come out to the BBQ? Would have been fun to meet you ... again.

Just to clarify...

To date, we have no reason to believe any confidential financial information has been shared. ie: credit card numbers.

Membership lists that would have been distributed for Party purposes, would include; name, address, contact numbers and of course membership #.
But NOT any financial information.

Good to know indeed. In this particular case it doesn't effect me either way but the principle is the same, and if the AA DID maintain that information in the same member database it would now apparently be out there God knows where because a handful of people wanted to take the ball (and information which didn't belong to them) and go home.

All right, now for the bid question: why is it relevent at all? I'm honestly asking, I'm not aware of the connection.

Nor was I. I'd like to know myself and what does it have to do with anything anyway?
