Stelmach warns Ottawa on oil sands

I too am disappointed with Stelmach. He's not the type of premier we need in this province for this time. We do need a strong premier that will take the lead and make it clear to the other provinces and Ottawa that we are not for sale.

Morton was the right leader for this time but sadly the party members didn't see him as the right one. Stelmach would have made a good cabinet minister say in agriculture.

I will be voting Alberta Alliance next election.

I suspect that it will be quite some time before Stelmach calls a general election.

Sadly, the provinces have the same terribly undemocratic crap that our federal parliament has. The party in power calls the shots when an election is called.

Ed (Elmer Fudd) Stelmach is not impressing anybody in Alberta right now rural or urban. His numbers are dropping (deservedly) like a stone.

He waited until the last minute to call the by-elections in hope of a miracle and he will wait as long as he can before calling a general election. The last one was in the late part of 2004 and I believe he can stretch it out as long as five years from then if he wants to.
