Thanks Texasredtop for posting the Inaugual Speech. I was there in DC - on Capitol Hill- that day and the speech sent shivers up my spine (and no...it was not the bone chilling cold dampness that caused the shivers).

As a Canadian who could not even sing the first two lines of the American Anthem, I sang it along with the rest of the audience that day. The speech made me proud to have worked on his campaign.

My favourite line is "I ask you to be citizens. Citizens, not spectators. Citizens, not subjects. Responsible citizens, building communities of service and a nation of character."

Since 1999, I have worked in over 9 states for US campaigns and I can not even vote there. One vote can make a difference (so can one chad!!). I, personally, feel that President Bush makes us remember that. And that is Priceless!

Katie - you lucky woman! What a dream it would have been to be there. My mother also worked on his campaign in Louisiana. She was invited to go on the bus to DC but chose not to. He's a fine man and it doesn't take anything but an open heart to see that. We loved him dearly in Texas. Well, most of us anyway! He's the reason I made the jump over to Republican. His faith will see us through these confusing times.

And thanks for your hard work in the US!
