The Dippers have 2 seats do they not? Where do you see them coming up with 7? Vote splits?

Is the amount of lawn signs a good indication of what the results wil be?

If so, the Liberals won't be completely shut off. They have way more signs up than anybody else in Edmonton Centre.

Edmonton-Centre was Anne "Get your guns" McLellan's federal riding. There are definitely some Liberals in the area. It also encompasses an inner city area such as Boyle Street and all the shelters so there's big support for goodies by the truckload with little regard for who pays for them. Homeless have been given cigarettes to cast the appropriate vote.

Really? :D

The last week of the PC campaign .... Wildrose are 'sccarry'

Last week of the Wildrose ... Colleen Klein joined Wildrose.

I don't care how many non voting teens they hire to say ' vote conservative'. It ain't happennin dude/ The PC's will be lucky to get the same number of seats the Socreds did when they got kicked to the curb.

At least the Socreds did not get kicked to the curb and run over by the 'Boobs on the Bus'. ;)

I hope you're right old friend.

Laurie Blakeman will win her seat and possibly Raj. I don't think that the NDP will get 7. I do think that Martin on the southside of Edmonton will win, Brian Mason, and Rachel Notley. I want to know where 7 comes from. I go back and forth in terms of how the PC and Wild Rose votes will flow but I don't see the NDP and Liberals getting the numbers people suggest on here.

And, I am betting RD that the people in the inner city whose lives are immersed in addictions and other significant struggles are just not going to be politically active souls. I had to wait in line over 40 minutes today and I think that election day will be worse. I do not believe that people with those issues will be prepared.

I find Lougheed's insult of Ralph Klein repugnant. Klein is not in a health position to respond and defend himself and with his characteristic whit he could have ripped Peter's peter off. Colleen has responded by joining the WR party. Old party hacks who were in bed with Troot-Owe now slagging Ralph Klein. We are watching a historical implosion.

Things, however, got complicated when Lougheed said that another former Conservative premier, my old boss Ralph Klein, took Alberta "backwards" to the old "Social Credit" days during the Klein years (1992-2006), which followed Getty's.

It was Social Credit that ruled Alberta from 1935 to 1971.

Dynasty founder Peter Lougheed, the man who did actually turn down the oil taps, weighs in on the current election.

The ailing Klein could not respond, but the attack compelled his wife, Colleen, to confirm that she had joined the Wildrose party, the one that is beating on the door and threatening to end the Conservative's long 41-year dynasty.

Yes, I suppose that it probably accurate. My next homeless lunch duty on 96th street is April 29th. It'll be interesting to gauge election result feedback - if there even is any.

Abacus Data results are released in 3 hours.
Listen to Rutherford in Alberta or tune in to SunNews....

(Abacus Data was almost dead on correct with Ontario's election results)

Bummer. Have to work today to pay the piper (& Paybec and Ontari-owe) so can't listen to Rutherford. I'll have to try to fill in the details later.

Then there’s a poll. This one is from the highly regarded ThinkHQ. The nosecount, taken Tuesday and Wednesday this week, shows the Wildrose eight points up on the Tories, 41-33.

In Calgary, they’re also eight up. In the country, 17 points up. In Edmonton, the Tories are five points ahead.

Undecided provincewide is 11%.

Wildrose voters are the most certain of their choice and the most likely to go out and mark an X.

Note: The race is tightening in Calgary where a Wildrose 18-point-lead is now an eight-point advantage.

(from Rick Bell in today's Sun....)
Looks like the leftists are pumping up the PC's.....
