Ugh. This is the most transparently bad argument I have ever seen.

"The Unabomber, Hitler, and Osama Bin Laden still believe in the theory of gravity, do you?"

It's like they hired a six year old sociopath to write the ad copy for them. But I guess that reflects the intended audience.

It is true that a lot of climate alarmists agree with Ted Kaczynski's views on industrial society. In other words they agree that it should be done away with.

I think it's a stretch to say Strong's beliefs are anything like the Unabomber's. It's one thing to be critical of how industrial policy leads to a global 'tragedy of the commons' and quite another to retreat to a preindustrial wood shack to make bombs and mail them to engineering departments.

The difference is in their actions, not in their beliefs regarding industrial civilization.

There are plenty of others, like Pentti Linkola for example who said, ""Everything we have developed over the last 100 years should be destroyed.""

You would be wrong to think that people like this have no following.

These are very influential people with very dangerous views. No good will ever come from this line of thinking.

I don't really like Heartland stooping to the level of the alarmists but it might be worth it to point out the company they (alarmists) keep. Look at the 10-10 video where they blow people up who show the slightest hesitation to conform to the dogma. This is how they really feel, this isn't just some fools making a video. Hansen and Suzuki would like to see politicians who question AGW thrown in jail and CEO's of coal companies charged with "crimes against humanity".
This is very unhealthy thinking but I'm glad they're saying it out loud because it exposes more and more who these people are, what they think and what they want to do to you. And more so, there's no reason for the thinking person of leftist persuation to go along with them, they shoud be horrified at what this movement has become.
