On some other forums I see people using the Tiny Url system because the links don't expire when you capture them on the Tiny....here is a link to an assessment of the system, and a direct link to the TinyUrl itself....
Just for your information.

I know nothing about cyber gizmos....but I see many people using the idea to save trouble on setting up the long URLs.

On that subject

Could we have a tutorial thread sticky somewhere on this forum where people can ask tech questions of the members who can assist them and perhaps do some other html specialties of the house so we can make our posts cleaner and easier to digest?

How do you put hypertext into posts?

The easiest way to post a link is to use the browser Firefox with the BBCode extension installed. Then all you have to do is:

-Highlight the desired link by left clicking and dragging over the address.

-Right click and selected copy or press ctrl-c.

-Right click in post window then select= BBCode/Clipboard/Make Selection URL.

-Name the link by typing what you want to display between the brackets near the end.

will display as...

Want a spell checker for your posts? Use Firefox with the Spellbound extension.

-To use: right click in posting window and select=Check Spelling.

-Please note that while spellbound finds spelling mistakes pushing the "replace" button will not actually replace the word. Use Spellbound to find errors then fix them manually.
