Like Christmas at our house today!

Postby Connie Fournier » 06/ 29/ 12 8:31 pm

Today we picked up the mail and it contained two lovely surprises. Styky sent a beautiful blouse for my daughter, and Westcoast Woman sent a gorgeous handmade quilt that she made just for us.

You two ladies are such a blessing! It is amazing how often, when we are feeling overwhelmed, that an FD friend will come along and make us feel special and loved. Today was one of those days!

Below are two pictures of our quilt. Styky, I'll send a pic of my daughter in the blouse once I get her home from camp. :D

Love you both! Thank you!

That is beautiful work Westcoast Woman. Very impressive!

What a fabulous quilt. As a quilter in a former life I know the work that goes into one of those. Quilts are always done out of love.

Hope the blouse fits. :D

I can tell by looking at it that it will. It is absolutely lovely! :)

I find receiving genuine acts of kindness to be gently humbling. Thank you, Ladies.

Hey. I noticed in the photo a Bible on your night table. Guess your walk matches your talk!

I enjoyed making the quilt. Mark and Connie are in my thoughts and prayers every day so it felt good to do something to keep busy while I fretted about their troubles.

I have a queen sized bed and a snowshoe siamese cat Westcoast Woman (mostly like a Sealpoint except for feet). Thanks in advance. :D

I've always wanted a handmade quilt for my bed but I am completely inept when it comes to sewing, and I could never justify the expense of buying one. And, there is something very special about knowing that it was made, lovingly, by someone just for us. :)
