It's nice when people truly care about you.

Progress report.........

Having trouble with low blood pressure "attacks".....can't determine the exact cause, but otherwise am feeling more like I'm having an "in body" expereience, walking better, etc.

Went home for about 3 hours the other day.........was able to climb 12 of my 13 stairs without stopping, petted the dog, actually got myself into my car along with my walker and went to the grocery store [6 items] and got back home where, after I ate lunch, I was pretty much finiished for the day.............50/50 overall. No time for Irises although they are in FULL flower mode..........sigh..........perhaps next time.

Myi barber called me yesterday. Said she had been looking for me for a month and a half.........wanted to thank me for the Irises I gave her which are doing very well, thank you.

Good show. All progress is good. Has the weather improved?

Dumb ass question... what might the requirements be in that state for having the pooch registered as a required service dog?

Maybe not so dumb:
Here are a few things I found re: Montana service dogs -

"Service animal" means a dog or other animal individually trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability.

In Montana, there currently is no state certification or training process for service
animals. The law does require that the service animal be trained to perform particular
tasks specific to the individual’s disability to qualify as a service animal.

The Montana Human Rights Act requires that a dog that is being trained as a service
animal must wear a leash, collar, cape, harness, or backpack that identifies the animal as
in training that is visible and legible from a distance of at least 20 feet. Mont. Code Ann.
§ 49‐4‐214(4).

Thanks. I was going to look it up. They say so much as petting a cat or dog lowers blood pressure. The nursing home my father was in near the end had a fenced petting zoo outside and several cats inside who literally had the run of the complex. You might get on an elevator and a cat would get on with you and get off where it felt like it. I was told they generally went to the same people's rooms to sleep at night after their day of adventure.

Well,it's ceased raining daily, but we had a windstorm blow through last night and it wiped out trees and power lines.....???

It IS sunny today, hopefully for a few days.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I told Kenny yesterday I was only going to ask him to drive me to my house [15 miles] to check on the dog, trees, flowers and then in the following week to take me HOME.........!!!
:D
[Th only snag is depending on what type - how long the VA will supply "outpatient" Physical Therapy.]
There are some Vietnam Veterans who have dogs for "companion/service" dogs. Perhaps an upcoming project...???
Now you remember that you stay out of the hospital longer if you don't try being superman :nono:
Around here we don't dwell on what we can't do but concentrate on what we can and do it really well. ;)
About that low blood pressure?
I think the doctors were overmedicating me with pills. I bend over to pull a weed and I would be close to on my face in the garden. I could make it from the bed to the couch , to a chair and back to bed. In several short weeks I found myself with a urinal on one side of the bed, and walker on the other and a chair in my tub.
I've cut back and I'm starting to feel better.
If they have you on BP meds ask them if it is the right dose.
ps Get well. Plants are busting out all over. Strawberries are happening and raspberries are about to ripen. Tiger lilies, that usually bloom for the glorious 12th (if your Irish) are in flower now. They happened too fast. I missed my chance to collect the buds and dry them for hot and sour soup.
Get well. Mother Nature waits for none of us.
Don't forget- in November write in Ross Perot.
