They've apologized. I'm sure it was deliberate but I accept their apology and will be keeping an eye on what they do in the future.

I've seen lines like that in the Yukon. I'm guessing that the road is worn from the snow and whatever else goes on up there in the winter. Some of the roads are like waves at the beach. You can't go very fast they are so wavy. The road running alongside Kluane Lake in southwest YT comes to mind.

Since the rest of the board is hinky...

The smoke has cleared for now and the temps dropped enough to open the house again- me & my Golden Boy are pseudo-blogging from the front porch. He's mostly over the lameness but I swear he's still favoring that right back leg a little. Worrying over the dog will be the death of me.

I reckon it's time to get moving once again.

We might have no rain starting tomorrow. If so, I head out on the motorcycle. Somewhere south but not for long. Esks-Stamps pre-season football in Edmonton Friday.

We're due for rain tomorrow. It's been 5 months and not a drop. That is just plain scary for this area. Some springs it rains every single day. Last time it was dry all spring and summer, we had huge floods in the fall.

3.5 millions acres on the Canadian prairie will not be seeded - again in many cases. Scenes from much of the US midwest speaks for itself. We'd better be saving our pennies for groceries this winter because crop yields are going to be seriously reduced, never mind the cost of fuel on shipping what is harvested. Fields are lakes. Ditches are rivers. We still have single digit (C) mornings here and many single digit HIGHS for the day. It's like year 2 with no summer.

Send some of that stuff down my way- the "authorities" ( Gag, hack! ) claim only a tropical storm or hurricane will extinguish our wildfires.

What do they care? They have that taxpayer-built, fortified "government safety complex" at the highest spot in the country to retreat to.

Meanwhile, the First Ms. Freeloader is off traveling again, this time to... Africa, birthplace of hubby. Only 18 months left to get the rest all in. Shop 'till you drop.

I'm not at all surprised NBC did this.

Despite the nearly constant rain showers, the Irises in the new bed are producing nicely and now the Dutch Irises are coming on..... :)

I haven't been keeping a record but I think since late April I have seen maybe 10-12 days of sunshine. If it hasn't been raining it's been overcast or foggy where I live in NB.

Gee do I miss the summers back in Renfrew ON!

My peonies are blooming which means we're sure to have rain and high winds. It never fails. The Exhibition is in town which is generally an invitation for gale force winds.

Heading to the USA on the Buell tomorrow. 3 days of sunshine coming. Summer starts Tuesday and ends Friday apparently.
