Been having to take of the grandmother-in-law ever New Years Eve because the rest of the family abandons her.

Have fun going to bed early. Wish I could.

Bless you D.J. I spent Christmas Day visiting with my Mom at a senior's home. They truly appreciate any kind of attention anyone can give them. I am sure that is the case with your grandmother-in-law.

There are many folks in the Senior Living where Mama is who never get any visitors and spend their days in the common room playing cards. My sisters and their children and grandchildren make it a point to go in and speak to everyone when they come in and out to see Mama, and its clear they appreciate it.

Ironically, while the family waxes eloquent about these people who get no visitors, should I mention that I, their sister, also get no visitors, they tell me it is my fault for not living in the same town with them. If I inquire where the families of the people they feel sorry for live, they say *Now dont start that again!* :shake:

We had two displays at the Forks our centre of town supposed meeting place. The first one was at ten for those with little ones and the second display was at midnight. Both of the displays lasted 15 to 20 minutes each which is I would guess a truck load of fireworks.

That was it. Three. We rock for environmental responsibility and fiscal management. Yeah, that's it, that was their plan all along they'll say in the morning.

If you want FIREWORKS..!!!

Come down to Whitefish on July 4th or New Years Eve.

The town spends the equivalent of several third world countries' GDP on those nights on sulfur and gunpowder alone.

No, really.....

I believe you JB because I've seen spectacles in Sandpoint, Idaho that would put the Vancouver Olympics to shame. Canadians don't get it.

My sister is in the hospital with a severe attack of pancreatitis and she and her husband were able to see a wonderful fireworks display from her hospital room in Syracuse. They said it made up for a lot.

If you're really hard core, ask a local for directions to DeBartolo's ranch where I hear it's quite spectacular....... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_J._DeBartolo,_Jr. It's between Whitefish and Kalispell.
