I'm simply not familiar with these procedures but this sounds like a positive step forward. I'm so pleased to hear that.

We spent the day at the Cancer Care centre and today. Hubbie had a CT last week and we prayed for decent results. The only thing that appeared could be a good thing but it could also be a bad thing. There is what could be scar tissue which would be good news or it could be the cancer is returning at the site of his original surgery.

The consensus is that he continue with 6 more rounds of chemo and with an MRI and here's hoping that we don't have to start all over again.

We had a long chat and he decided what ever it is if it is bad news he's ready and all for anything they have to do to get rid of it. The man's tough as nails or he believes me when I told him he has to do everything possible to beat this because the wife on the other side isn't as nice as I am :D

Prayers are up and in and yes God is still with us and as good as ever. [-o<

On a side note.....I fractured my leg. Curses to prednisone. :?

I wish :roll: I wasn't doing anything. :shake: My leg started to pain me while walking through the house. Didn't trip or even twist it yet there it is. :ohwell:

Prednisone gave me cataracts . Both eyes. In my 40s. :shock: They're repaired now. Prednisone can alleviate many serious problems but the side effects from long term use are horrendous, like the brittle bones you mentioned. I'm off it now.

Hubbie says this is Gods way of telling me sit back relax and put your feet up. So that's what I intend to do. :)

I haven't updated this thread in a wee bit so here goes. Hubby has beaten back a case of pneumonia and countless fevers in the last few weeks. This week if the blood work measures up he'll undergo another round of chemo. He only has three left. :)
An MRI at the end of the week will tell us whether we have good news or bad news to contend with. [-o< He's undergone so far 21 rounds of chemo in the last two years with two surgeries that took half his liver and a good portion of his colon. If it's good news and things are under control then he'll go for another surgery when he gets his strength back to repair the mess that is his abdomen. If it's not good news then I guess we'll have to wait and see what's in the cards for him.

There is a young lady who has the same cancer he has that has undergone 67 rounds of chemo so far and she's still plugging along with hope for the future. What an amazing women.

We figured it out a few weeks ago that with the treatments the medications and the surgeries if we had to lay the cash on the table for it we'd have had to sell the house, and the car and most of the investments. I'd do it in a heart beat.....he's worth it. :hug:
