thank you for answering my question. In which line in this document does he advocate killing Jews? I ask not because I haven't read it, but because having read it I can't find it.
All hail to Wynne! Kathleen Wynne for Archbishop of Canadaterbury!

How obtuse are you? You're either trolling or ignorant, I can't quite figure out which. My original point was that antisemitism existed long before islam ever existed. I provided you evidence of a Christian Bishop blaming Israel for the death of the Saviour, a Bishop who died in 180 AD, long before islam existed. I think I've proven my point. No one said anything about proving that someone said that people should kill Jews. Unless you feel that antisemitism only exists when one advocates the killing of Jews.

I think I see the source of our confusion. You said
Melito de Sardis advocated the killing of Jews hundreds of years before Mohammad was even born, Islam is not the only source of antisemitism

and I said
Could you give a reference to his writings, or to an article that gives a reference?

I could have been clearer and specified "could you give a reference to his writings with regards to the first claim you make, namely that Melitus of Sardis advocated the killing of Jews?"

A very high percentage of wars prior to birth control were caused by internal pressures within nations. In other words, when there were too many idle young men, poor or noble, they started to complain about their rulers, so the rulers gave them something to do. This cut down their numbers, pointed them at an outside enemy and, sometimes, benefitted the state.

The pressures that cause wars have much more to do with the human condition in a land area than ideals or religion. However, these ideals and religion may be used as propaganda to dress up or even inspire the unneeded, unemployed, or overly-angry off to war.

Such holds true during the Crusades as well as today.
