North American Union?

Postby ChronoSerge » 06/ 29/ 06 5:13 pm

Have you heard anything about this? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_Union. a friend told me about it, and at first I didn't believe him untill I looked around on the net and found this wiki article along with other stuff about this......Kind of scary isn't it? If some of our leaders in the US, Canada and Mexico are striving for a unified government, why is it not talked about in the news, and not more widely reported?

According to the article, John Manley, a former Deputy Prime Minister is the chairman of the Independant Task Force on North America has put forth this idea which is actually being taken seriusly by some political leaders in our countries. The organisation is comprised of Council on Foreign Afairs, the Canadian Council of Chief Executives and Consejo Mexicano de Asuntos Internacionales.

I normaly scoff at conspiracy theories and even laughed at my friend who told me about this, until I did some searching and found that there is at least a little validity to it.

Unfortunately, Mexico is a founding member :P. I don't really see how this could ever go through. Americans, Canadians, and Mexicans are rebellious by nature, we take pride in our respective heritage and our cultural traits, and I don't think that noth americans are the kind that would take to this idea.....The only way I could see drumming up any support for it, would be to point to the EU as a rising eventual unified nation, and the need for North America to do the same in order to counter its influence. I don't think for various reason that this would ever or could ever happen :P I just hink it is frightening that there are really people trying to make it happen.

Ick... If we end up with a bunch of multi-national unions, it's just a matter of time before those unions form an international "council" which evolves into a governing body... and then...

Anyone else remember when Chancellor Palpatine became Emperor Palpatine?

Now you know where I am going with this...

This is part of the reason why Jorge Bush is aiding the illegals invasion of the USA. It makes this union even easier to push through.

If the borders are eliminated, mass unorganised immigration won't just be an american problem :P.

I would suggest that of the millions of first and second generation immigrants to Canada over the past four decades most are here because Canada was their second choice. Our doors have been wide open while The United States has had, with the exception of their problem with illegal immigration, a common sense immigration policy. Given the chance most would jump at the opportunity to join that land of opportunity. For the most part their loyalty to Canada is non existant anyway.

A lot of immigrants to the USA have no loyalties to this nation either. I don't agree that most would want to jump ship though, because I know Canada to be a wonderful country, despite liberal system it has been employing. It has beautiful geography, it's very large, you have good bacon and you respect hockey :P

Bush Administration Erases U.S. Borders With Mexico and Canada

http://www.humaneventsonline.com/article.php?id=15809

by Jerome R. Corsi
Posted Jun 28, 2006

The Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP), signed by President Bush with Mexico and Canada in Waco, Tex., on March 23, 2005, was fundamentally an agreement to erase our borders with Mexico and Canada.

As I have documented below, the SPP “working groups” organized within the U.S. Department of Transportation are signing trilateral memoranda of understanding and other agreements with Mexico and Canada designed to accomplish the open borders goal incrementally, below the radar of mainstream media attention, thereby avoiding public scrutiny. Congress is largely unaware that SPP exists, let alone knowledgeable about the extensive work being done behind the scenes by the executive branch to advance the agenda articulated by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) to establish a North American Union as a new regional super-government by 2010.

True. But Russia has beautiful geography, vast pristine wilderness, forests, fair beer and great vodka and they also respect hockey. Myself I prefer baseball, hot dogs and MGD.

It's simple really, the US is the technological center, Canada supplies the resources and Mexico the cheap labour.

I support multiculturalism and massive third world immigration to Israel.

Did you know that anybody or everybody in the world is a potential Canadian within 3 months time?

It is entirely possible for two nations to live side-by-side, whilst sharing a different culture, customs, and worldview yet still maintain fruitful trading practices. I'm quite happy with the status quo.

Don't tar all Ontarians with the same socialist brush. Only Toronto should be omitted from this union. We should then build a 100 foot high wall around it to keep out the decay of western society.
