Predictions for October, 2015!

Postby Hodgson » 06/ 06/ 12 3:46 pm

The next election isn't due for another 3 and a half years, but as many of you know I am a hardcore Harper fan and I suspect by the time the next election rolls round, we'll be looking at another Harper win.

Ten predictions for 2015.....

#1. No more deficits! The deficits will be a thing of the past. Astute management and some more cuts down the road will lead us towards a small surplus just before the election. The CPC will look like heroes.

#2. The NDP will fade back into third (fourth?) place. The Liberals will elect a new leader that is more reasonable and likeable than Mulcair. The real competition will be between Liberals and Tories once more.

#3. Canada will be in the midst of an economic boom. All these problems facing the global economy will fall away. Tough decisions will be made and some countries will fall by the wayside, but the U.S. will once again be leading the way and Canada will be prospering greatly.

#4. Canadian dollar will be at 90 cents due to the return of America!

#5. Mitt Romney will be President of the United States.

#6. Canada's population will surpass 36 million.

#7. Canada's GDP will surpass South Korea and Spain at hit $1.5 trillion!

#8. Harper will win another majority with 171 seats out of 338.

#9. Brad Wall will win another majority in Saskatchewan.

#10. Climate Change/Global Warming/Enviro-Alarmism will be thoroughly over. Finished. Ka-put.

So there you have it! Any others have predictions?

Boy, are you going to wrong – by a wide margin.

Harper can’t keep spending south of inflation plus population growth now.

Canada’s boom will end as worldwide recession sends oil and resources tanking.

Mitt Romney will lose this election since his party (the GOP) is just as statist as the Democratic Party and voters will pick the statists they know.

What I do agree about is global baloney. It is done. And I agree that our population will keep growing due to insane levels of immigration.

I also predict free speech will be more eroded under Harper than all the years under the Liberals.

You better hope he wins the election because the NDP will go on a binge using all the new government power Harper has given them.

I'm guessing it will take one more electoral cycle for the Liberals to reboot. Look at where Mulcair is currently most disliked: Is the West really going to vote Justin Trudeau as an alternative?

#5. Mitt Romney will be President of the United States.

This would surprise me too. As much as Obama is disliked, Romney is disliked even more. Basically, the U.S. presidential elections will be a race to the bottom, as neither side is all that enthusiastic about their respective candidate. So this will be a repeat of Dalton McGuinty vs. John Tory.

The next election will be in the spring 2015 not the fall. There are seven (7) provinces and territories with elections scheduled for the fall of 2015 and the federal election will have to be moved to avoid chaos.

That depends on the fallout of a pending Euro crash which seems imminent. We may have to look at deficit spending to maintain a stable economy.

That is not a given. Socialists, most of whom are union members and most of whom are employed by governments at some level will prop up the NDP. The liberals have not resolved the Martin / Chretien divide as yet, so their prospects are dismal. It is far more likely that we will see a socialist / conservative divide.

An economic boom is of no value if we have no customers and that is the most likely scenario.

Hodgson wrote: #4. Canadian dollar will be at 90 cents due to the return of America!
It is far more likely that the USD will be at about $0.75 Canadian.

Hodgson wrote: #5. Mitt Romney will be President of the United States.
unlikely, however, it is probable that the Democrats and Republicans will stand together and force a new presidential election when their economy tanks.

Hodgson wrote: #6. Canada's population will surpass 36 million.
perhaps a million high.

Hodgson wrote: #7. Canada's GDP will surpass South Korea and Spain at hit $1.5 trillion!
Perhaps, but due to failures in foreign economies.

Hodgson wrote: #8. Harper will win another majority with 171 seats out of 338.
Probable

Hodgson wrote: #9. Brad Wall will win another majority in Saskatchewan.
Likely

NEVER! Eco-freaks will never leave us.
The most effective way to stifle democracy is to transfer decision-making from the public arena to unaccountable institutions: activist judges, human rights tribunals, parliamentary committees, civil service bureaucrats and political party hacks.

I hate to burst your bubble but I doubt Harper will even be the leader of the party in 2015. He will see that the CPC will be reduced below a majority and leave for the boardrooms for the millions to be made.

In the next election, the Liberals will be in second place but a close second to the NDP. The Liberals and NDP will form a pact to be the next government and the people will be overly happy about it.

Harper's record by then will be one of a dictator, a liberal spend alcoholic in conservative clothing, a destroyer of freedoms. The CPC will once again split into their proper factions conservatives and pretend conservatives.

This Liberal/NDP government will have no choice but to gut government due to the over spending and debt accumulation of Harper's pretend conservative government.

Canada will be on the financial brink just like the other socialist European nations. Our debt load of municipal, provinical and federal governments will be extremely high and the cost to service that debt will out strip all other government spending.

Canada will see unemployment in the mid to high 20% as governments at all levels will be forced to expel workers. The current trend of 40% of the employed being due to some level of government or govenrment subsidy is unsustainable.

To further complicate the situation, the US will experience wholesale civil unrest, due to their elected governments refusal to represent the people (regardless of who is President). That civil unrest will have a significant impact on our economic well being and overall stability of the country.

I will be supreme leader and you will be in a dungeon pleading for your life.

Kind of a role reversal, you might say.

You may not have heard of humour. I don't think it was in the Omnibus Bill.
