Wow. We raided fruit trees as kids but there were kitchens full of it at home. It's not like we were hungry.

This is going to get really ugly. We're going to see people getting shot on private property over food.

All I know is the curry powder in the spice cabinet started looking a little clumped-up, like it was getting old- it's pre-Emily-- so I tossed it out.

Went to Winn-Dixie... they wanted $4.29 for a bottle of curry powder. "sorry, Charlie"-- I'll make do grinding peppercorns for hot stuff.

I picked up a few things yesterday. A 2L of Diet Coke is now $2.39 before scores of assorted fees, deposits and taxes. Why is soda 300% more expensive than it is in Florida for the same product with the dollar at par? This is the supermarket price. The same item is close to $4.00 at a convenience store or gas station.

An acute butter shortage in Norway, one of the world's richest countries, has left people worrying how to bake their Christmas goodies with store shelves emptied and prices through the roof.

Why are South African Cherries cheaper here in January than BC cherries in August which I could drive to in a few hours and pick off the tree myself? WTF is going on in this pretend country?

When I saw you had made a post on this thread my first thought was, where the heck is RD finding cherries this time or year. Low and behold, he found some

I've stopped trying to figure out how they price things now adays. It'll drive you insane.

I'm your man when it comes to cherries. You can count on me. I'm just not clear how shipping them half way around the globe during winter north of the equator can be cheaper than something I can drive to before lunch in our summer.
